Out of the Blue
This is set after the Episode, The Potion Notion. Rita wonders at what Zedd said and realizes that she feels the same way. She goes down to earth and gets something to show him what she thinks. Zedd/Rita

'This little witch is the best thing that ever happened to me,' those words ran through Rita's mind and there's a warm, funny feeling that flutters in her chest each time she thinks of them.
'He really meant it,' she thought and the feeling in her warmed her heart.
She didn't know how but somehow she'd fallen in love with him and he with her and she had to admit, that although she'd originally planned to overthrow him, falling in love with Zedd was definitely not a bad thing. 'It's made us stronger' she thought and smiled. She wondered what she could do to show Zedd how she felt about him.
She then remembered a song she'd heard when she'd gone to earth in disguise in order to learn more about Earthlings and she grinned, it would be the perfect way to tell him how she felt.
An hour later
Zedd wandered around the palace, looking for his wife. He stopped at Finster's lab, "Finster, where's Rita?" he asked.
"I don't know Lord Zedd, I haven't seen her for a while," said Finster and Zedd walked off grumbling under his breath. He eventually found Rita in the rarely used ballroom and was he surprised. She had washed off her makeup, donned a tight green dress and her hair was cascading down her back in a silver waterfall.
"Rita! You look…beautiful. What's the occasion?" Zedd asked, curious as to what could have brought this unexpected but pleasant surprise on.
"Well, I did some thinking after what you said earlier, about me being the best thing that ever happened to you and I realized that you're that best thing that has ever happened to me too. I love you Zedd and I think that this song will tell you my exact feelings," said Rita and she flipped the switch on the CD player she'd been standing next to and sweet music filled the air.
Zedd, if he could smile would have and held out his hand. Rita took it and they started to dance.
They twirled around the ballroom, each relishing in this beautiful moment they were sharing with each other.
Neither knew that they were being watched by Rito, Finster and Goldar. Rito and Finster were smiling and Goldar was feeling sick to his stomach. The two dragged him away, leaving the happy couple to themselves.
They stopped dancing and looked at each other, Zedd then said, "I love you too Rita and I never want to live without you."
"Nor I you Zedd," said Rita and they kissed, a kiss of true love that would one day save them and give them a new life…together.
