He's at her window again and this time, Wendy might actually say yes.

This isn't the second time he has been at her window—nor the third nor the fourth. Peter, she supposes, must miss the stories she told to him and his lost boys. But he has never asked for them; he only wants a flying partner.

Wendy has always refused—a lady does not fly, Mother says. But Wendy is tired of listening to Mother and Father and watching her younger brothers.

The stars are out and Peter's eyes are as bright as them.

She thinks she spies Neverland to the far right.

Grinning, Wendy takes Peter's hand and leaves London behind, if only for a little while.
