The three stood there, witnessing the end of their nightmares crumbling down the cliff. A few more moments, and Castlevania was no more.
Alucard was already departing even as the castle dust began to settle into the floor. Maria, keen eyes seeing black cape swishing out of view, started and turned to see her beloved already leaving.
"Why are you going so soon?" Maria called out.
"... I am leaving you because I am a cursed being. It will be best if I left and keep my bloodline secret."
Alucard's tone held no emotion, but Maria could see a hint of sadness in his features.
She didn't want her dark angel to leave so soon. She had to keep him from hiding somehow!
"W-why don't you come with Richter and I? Our estate is big, we have more than enough room, we-"
She faltered. Why would Alucard even care? His features were clearly saying no, his golden eyes narrowed slightly. He will not budge in his decision.
"Farewell. We may never meet again."
The dhampire inclined his head towards the hunters and made to leave. Only a pained female cry stopped him.
"Please don't, Alucard," Maria cried out. "Why damn yourself like this? You have done a good deed saving my brother-in-law and destroying the castle! You're too good to just shut yourself away from the world!"
He didn't answer; his only reaction was to bow his head slightly. There was a long silence, and Maria began to have some hope. Maybe Alucard was changing his mind...?
"Heed her, Alucard," Richter said. "She loves you very much."
"...I must leave," Alucard whispered. "I must."
Before he can make a move, Maria grabbed his shoulders and forcefully made him turn. She finally made up her mind on what Alucard wanted. He was irritated, but his eyes widened when he saw what Maria did to proclaim her love to him.
She took off her clothes and flashed her breasts.
From that day onward Alucard turned Maria into a vampire and stayed awake in the world forever.
