Post "Under the Weather". I might have done a post-ep for this already, but whatever. Do you really care?Summary: GJ 'Enlighten me, Jordan. Does trouble just naturally follow you around?'

Imp-Jordan decided to reply stupidly to Garret's declaration of love and the ending got screwed. Blame it on her, not me.

Come Get Me

"Stop it."

"Please, come in."

Not quite sarcastic, but not the most polite of reactions, either.

She opened the door, and he stormed in, turning almost immediately to have her pinned against it with his gaze. His eyes were dark and stormy. "Enlighten me, Jordan. Does trouble just naturally follow you around?"

"Yeah, haven't you noticed? It says 'come get me'," she joked, attempting a half-smile. "It flashes in bright neon colors every five minutes."

His glare halted her in her tracks.

"What?"

He was all set. It was packed away; every bit of love and emotion he felt for her. Shoved into the back of his mind so it couldn't creep up on him and declare to the word what was really going on. Of course, nothing ever went according to plan. He didn't plan on the fact that she'd be so damn adventurous and brave and try to save the word and that near-death experiences would become part of her weekly routine.

And it all fell away when she looked at him.

"I tried, goddammit, I tried, Jordan. I really did." A resigned sigh escaped his lips. "Why'd you have to be so damned difficult?"

She frowned at him, wondering what the hell he was talking about.

"You know what? Fine. I love you. I do. Have since you got here," he shrugged.

Jordan laughed. "You wait till now to tell me? My god, Garret, I've loved you for years. I was starting to wonder if I'd have to actually die before you admitted it to me." She grinned, making light of the moment, and fell into his arms.

His arms surrounded her, and he hugged her like he never wanted to let go.

"Jordan?"

Her chin tilted up to meet his eyes. "Hmm?"

"I'm glad you didn't die."

"Me too."
