Chapter one
Ender walked down the hill towards the lake. Colonel Graff was still in the car but Ender knew he must be spying on him, most probably hearing what he would say to Valentine later.
Ender sighed. Valentine. The only person he loved and trusted but hadn't seen for almost three years. The only person who could understand him. His one and only sister, dear Valentine Wiggin. Ender missed her of course, but three years of harsh life in Battle School had turned him into an emotionless killing fighting machine. Only one tiny seed of love had survived in his heart and it was growing and growing as he got closer and closer to Valentine.
Valentine was sitting by the lakeside, her unruly brown hair flying everywhere, blown by the glorious cool breeze. It's a nice day, a day where nothing could seem to go wrong, thought Ender. But little did he know, he was very, very wrong
