Summary: "Ryoma-kun, no matter what, I like you!" she sobbed "I've always liked you! eversince back then... you don't know how long i waited!. I hate you! I hate you because I cant!" Hearing everything she said, he took one long look at the door, hesitated, turned around and never looked back.
Stupidity at its finest
Sakuno was missing him.. She wanted to see him... "It's been years ago since he moved.. I really miss him" Sakuno said "He was my best friend" She added thoughtfully.
"Sakuno!" Shouted Sumire.
"Hai Oba-chan?" Sakuno replied asking. "Come with me, I'm going to a house" said Sumire. "Yes Oba-chan" answered Sakuno
They walked through a long alley until they reached the house. "Sumire!" A stranger's voice shouted."Ah! Nanjirou.." greeted Sumire. While Nanjirou and Sumire were talking Sakuno saw a boy wearing a cap, a white cap to make it clear... Could it be? she didn't dare to hope.
"Ryoma-kun!" Sakuno shouted. "Eh.. me?" Ryoma asked and Sakuno ran towards him.
"Ne! Ne!, don't you remember me? S-A-K-U-N-O"
"Sakuno?" asked Ryoma
"Hai, Hai,It's me Ryoma-kun." Sakuno answered excitedly "Ryoma-kun since when did you get back?" she added
"just yesterday." answered Ryoma
"Ryoma-kun do you remembe how we met?" asked Sakuno
"Yeah" answered Ryoma
"About that.. I've got something to tell you..." said Sakuno.
"What is it?" asked Ryoma.
"I-I like you!" shouted Sakuno blushing.
Ryoma didn't react, hedidn't know how to. Minutes passed and Sakuno just stared at him then Ryoma started saying something
"Look Ryuz-.. Sakuno.. I'm sorry if I break your feelings but I'm not really interested" Ryoma said. Sakuno stood there shell shocked. "I-i.. o-of course.. I u-understand R-ryoma-ku-kun." She said stuttering, her eyes filling with tears. I few seconds passed and unable to take it anymore Sakuno made a feeble attempt to stop her tears "G-gomen E-echizen kun.. but i-i must r-really g-go now.." she excused herself and ran home without even waiting for Ryoma's reply.
After weeks Ryoma visited Sakuno's house and Sumire let him in.
Ryoma just seated on the couch and Sakuno came down and saw Ryoma she immediately went back up. Ryoma, who heard her footsteps, stopped her.
"Sakuno! Look.. I'm sorry." Ryoma Apologized
"Didn't you notice?" Sakuno asked.
"No I didn't" Ryoma answered.
Sakuno just ran upstairs to her room.
Sakuno remebered all of it. How they met, What's their first impressions was. She cried all day, She cried herself to sleep.
"I think I should give him another chance." she said to herself. She knows it was stupid.. to like maybe even love someone who doesn't like you back.. but if liking Ryoma meant she was stupid then she will gladly be one. Loving him is stupidity at its finest

Unbeknownst to her an cat-eyed boy stood just outside her door, his hand positioned to knock. Hearing everything she said, he took one long look at the door, hesitated, turned around and never looked back.
