Wild Night – John Mellencamp ~ Sanctuary, Henry/Ashley

~ And everything looks so complete/ When you're walking out on the street/ And the wind catches your feet/ And sends you flying, crying/ Oooh, oo-ooh wee / The wild night is calling

"Oh, we have to hit another club! You know the one Henry, is it still down by the docks?"

"Nah, they moved into the abandoned subway tunnels last year after an incident with their still."

"No! I loved that stuff!"

Two thirty in the morning and neither Henry nor Ashley were showing any sign of slowing down, despite having spent the last four and a half hours drinking and dancing to obnoxiously loud music. Kate and Will couldn't make the same claim, but neither of them wanted to cut short Ashley's first night out on the town (for fun) since she'd been sprung from an old Cabal facility.

Still, a club in the subway tunnels? Incidents with a still?

From the expression on face, Will was clearly thinking the same thing. Ashley and Henry had the habit of referring to things from their past, things that seemed strange even to those who were used to the oddities of working for Magnus.

On his own, Henry was a fun, geeky dude, but toss him together with Ashley, a canoe load of booze outside work hours and you got a hurricane of crazy. At the moment, they appeared to be dancing in the pale glow of a streetlight, laughing and twirling in the cool night air.

They were drawing a few stares, but neither seemed to care. For a moment, Will watched them, then turned to her. "You ever get the feeling you've missed half of their conversation?"

"Everyday."

"You two coming?"

Like they'd ever miss an underground club (literally) that made its own booze.

"Hell yeah. Night's still young."

And oh, what a wild night it was.
