Veni.

[She came.]

She is siren, calling him to her.

He obeys, the dagger tight in his fist.

She hears not the fall of the die. Destiny is not undone by the slide of skin.

Vidi.

[She saw.]

From the cross, she sees true.

Her heart turns to ash as he gives the command.

Betrayal. She tastes bitterness as the hammer descends.

Vici.

[She conquered.]

Her heart betrays her.

The lure of love led her here. No more.

Her eyes close as she conquers fear at last. For vengeance, she is reborn.
