Hello to all! This is my first pure Naruto fanfic. My sister went on and on for days about what would happen if Taka all lived together and what kind of things they would do when they aren't busy seeking revenge. This is nothing serious and the chapters are a bit short! Also, just to clarify, I will call the group Taka, even though they had a different name before that. There is no solid timeline for this story.
"I want a huge bath tub and a giant pool in the back yard," Suigetsu interjected when Sasuke said that their group would be getting a house. Karin's eyes threatened him in twenty different ways. Sasuke looked at the real estate agent indifferently. Juugo gazed out the window. "I'd settle for a lake or pond," he added with a shrug when the atmosphere got awkward.
"We're not here to find luxuries, Suigetsu," Sasuke said, his voice sounding grim and serious as always. "If you want that, do it on your own time and your own money."
They were buying a house. As a team, they'd had a bit of a rest period. For financial reasons, Sasuke had decided to find a house rather than going from hotel to hotel.
"We're certainly willing to help you find a house that meets all of your needs," the agent said awkwardly.
"Thank you," Suigetsu said excitedly. "As I was saying before, I need a huge bath tub, a pool or pond in the backyard, and if we could be within a one mile radius of a dumpling shop that would be great."
The agent quickly scribbled down some notes, trying to keep up with Suigetsu's quick speech. "Is there anything you would like to add?" he asked, looking at Karin.
"I want a bathroom that connects two bedrooms," she stated, her eyes turning to Sasuke.
"And you, Sir?" The agent looked to Juugo.
Juugo shrugged. "I don't need much, but if it's at all possible, I would like the house to be in an open area with a lot of nature."
"What would your preferences be?" he asked Sasuke. Sasuke kept his face straight and indifferent as always.
"I don't care. As long as the house isn't caving in around us, it doesn't matter."
Wow. Karin thought, gazing at Sasuke's chiseled profile. Sasuke is even more perfect looking from this angle. I didn't even think that was possible.
Suigetsu looked at the agent, silently glaring daggers at him. He was less than willing to share a house that lacked a pool with three other people. If he didn't get his pool or large bath, he would be likely to leave the group.
Juugo didn't care much about the house. If he didn't like it, he would just find a cave or something to stay in for awhile.
The agent left to look through some files. Sasuke gave the group a stern look. "It doesn't matter what kind of house it is," he hissed. "As long as it isn't falling apart at the seams, nothing matters. It will just act as a base."
"Look, Sasuke," Suigetsu began, raising his hands in a mock surrender gesture. "We can't hunt down Itachi if we're all really stressed and not relaxed. That would be a hinderance."
"It would only be a hinderance if you were weak, Suigetsu!" Karin yelled.
Juugo threw a look to them. "Keep your voices down," he reprimanded quietly. "We're in a public place."
Both Suigetsu and Karin glared at each other before silencing themselves.
The real estate agent returned with a clipboard with profiles of houses. "I hope that these houses meet all of your criteria," he said placing the profiles on the desk. "If you wanted to go visit, we can arrange-" Sasuke took a paper at random.
"We'll take this one," he said.
"But, Sasuke! You didn't even look at-" Suigetsu started to say.
Sasuke turned to Suigetsu, his eyes serious and dark. "We're taking this one."
