I Had A Life Before This One

Zuri asks, "What was your life like before you lived here?" I thought this day would never come. I ran away from my old life and started anew. "I had a life before this one. And it was amazing." I respond.

Jessie's POV
I'm walking into the living room and the kids are looking at me. I ask, "Whatcha doin?"
"Nothing." Emma, Luke and Ravi Ross say simotainously being suspicious.
Zuri asks, "What was your life before us?"
I never thought they would ask. And I never thought I would tell.
Flashback

I was getting on the boat to leave Kettlecorn Kansas. A small town can't hold this world traveller! I'm getting courted by Cody Martin. I'm rebuilding the barn at the farm. I'm saying goodbye.

Flashback Over

Emma says, "Who is this Cody Martan and I'm going to find him so you two can get together!"
"Wait. Does Misses Mommy know you aren't Jessie Prescott?" Ravi asks.
I say, "Yes she does. Cody Martan is a Harvard Gradute probably with a family."
"I'm still here." Luke says.
I respond with, "And I'm still too old for you."
