Tell me, glass, tell me true!

A/N: Usual disclaimer. - My answer to the "100 words - Mirror of Erised"-challenge on WIKTT.

Hermione stood trembling in front of the mirror.

Her inner voice of reason had warned her, but her other part, the one Snape had made fun of in the last seven years, wanted certainty.

"You'll only see your own failure, Granger!" His voice sneered through her thoughts.

Now she was standing here.

What would she see? What would the Mirror of Erised show her? That she passed her doctor's degree 'summa cum laude'? Her private happiness? Children?

She stepped forward – the picture in the glass became more distinct.

She had expected everything, but not this. – A friendly smiling Severus Snape.
