Author's Note: This is a poem I wrote. It doesn't directly relate to anything--it can be any relationship you want, I guess. Anyway, it's dedicated to Mr. Sketchy Ghost who I truly love and had in mind when I was writing this. He's an amazing kid, and well... Ty, you make everything so much better. Thank you.

Anesthetic brilliance,

Filling my heart as those elegant words slip off his tongue…

So polite, so well-spoken.

Those eyes, so pure and unblemished, gaze so understanding—

Flawless skin—so different, so untouched…

Light hair plastered across his forehead,

Beautiful.

A beacon in the sea of utilitarian masses,

He is today,

He is tomorrow,

He constantly changes.

He only stays when life's enjoyable—

When it's not fun anymore, he leaves…

Only tainted memories are proof that he ever existed.

He constantly dances,

Slips just beyond my reaching grasp,

So vulnerable and so innocent,

So sensitive, yet so oblivious.

He's something special,

He's probably always been that way because…

Things like him don't just happen.

He's a fallen leaf in the middle of spring—not quite though…

A leaf is brittle, it can be broken easily, but not him…

So high-spirited; he gets sick on life sometimes,

In his own delicate way,

He doesn't realize how he affects those around him—

Especially

Me.

This is how it is with him,

Yet he thinks he's nothing

Special.

Life just sprawls out in front of me,

Before drowning me in regrets…

Until it gave him to me…

I never saw how truly blind I was—

And sometimes I'm afraid I won't understand him until it's too late

He can have anybody he wants—

Everybody loves his wild and free spirit,

His maturity in such a young age,

His words of comfort and understanding,

His elegance, his soft-spoken way of love—

His confidence in his being,

He can have anybody,

But he chose me.

Author's Note: It had cooler spacing before but fanfiction won't let you use it so... well, I hope you liked it anyways.
