"No, Sam!" Dr. Daniel Jackson cried out as he was forced to watch the horrifying scene before him.

The blonde scientist didn't hear the warning. Daniel started pushing forward frantically through the throng of onlookers.

"Sam, watch out! Don't move. I'm comi-." He came to an abrupt stop as his teammate passed an invisible line. He could do nothing for her now. Nothing but watch the inevitable.

Major Samantha Carter heard the overwhelming noise from the crowd suddenly stop. Everything seemed unnaturally still and quiet. She thought this in amusement. It usually took so much to shut SGC's teams up! Especially during the annual Christmas party. She couldn't even hear Daniel's ceaseless talking.

Sam looked back over her shoulder to identify the source of the silence, she was shocked to find them all staring at her…and Jack standing at her shoulder…under a mistletoe. Carter groaned at the implications and buried her face in her hands.

"Oh, come on, it can't be THAT bad!" O'Neill stated from his position at her elbow. She didn't reply and refused to look at her CO as a dark red blush made its way up her face.

"Major Carter, you know the rules. Now, quit stalling and kiss him already." SG-15's resident Archaeologist called from one side of the room. Sam shot him a withering glare. However, there was nothing she could do about her situation and with a sigh she resigned herself to the inevitable.

"Sir."

She turned to a smiling Colonel. And the rest as they say is HISTORY!
