He'd never wanted to admit it.
As true as it was, he couldn't admit he was lost, confused, and scared.
He shivered, a droplet of rain falling on his face. What a stupid idea it was to wear his normal outfit! He laughed to himself, holding himself as a terrible laugh ripped itself from his lips. He didn't care – and no one would hear him, his laughter ringing out through the city. His laughter soon died away, his face turning hard and cold as he saw him.
That bastard. How dare he show his face around here! Around him!
He growled in annoyance. He swore to never look at his face, or even think of him ever again. He smirked and shivered again, teeth chattering. He would not be weak!
The man looked up at him. He smiled. "Envy," he said simply, smiling like everything was perfect. Stupid.
"Hohenheim of Light," Envy muttered, turning away.
"It's been a while, hasn't it, so-"
"I am not your son!" Envy burst out, glaring with all his might, trying to make him quiver in fear, or run away in cowardice.
Envy turned away from him, from that place.
He'd bury them both in his memories forever.
