The Game of Life Challenge / Prompt : Molly/Arthur, lollipop, feud.
It was a warm day in Diagon Alley and Florean Fortescue's ice creamery was just too hard to resist. Molly and Arthur sat down on one of the umbrella-covered tables, across a family of four. Molly dropped the bag of purchased items down on a free seat beside her, grunting tiredly. "Merlin, Arthur. I didn't know shopping for furniture could be that tiring!" she chuckled, leaning over the table and resting her head on her arms.
Arthur placed a loving peck on her forehead, "Florean Fortescue's ice creams are a good cure for that, in fact. I'll order for us, Molly-dear. I have the perfect flavor in mind." he grinned smugly, leaving her alone to order them some cold sweets.
Molly looked over to the small family across of them. The couple had two children, an older boy and a younger girl. The children seemed to be caught up in a feud, the little girl holding up a bright red lollipop from the sweet shop on the west side of Diagon Alley. "I want my strawberry lollipop dipped in chocolate ice cream!" The little girl cried out to her brother.
"No, Jill. It won't taste good! Yuck!" Her brother scrunched up his face, shaking his head.
"But I want to try!" The little girl, Jill as her brother called her, had tears threatening to fall from her eyes. "Mummy! Jack's at it again!" Their mother then shook her head, an amused smile adorning her lips. "Now, now, Jill. Don't you cry. Daddy's off to get you your own small cup of chocolate ice cream for your lollipop." she reassured, caressing her daughter's hair.
"Enjoying the scene, Molly-dear?" Arthur's voice brought her out from her reverie and snapped her to her senses. Her eyes landed on a couple-sized bowl of banana split with big slices of bananas, three large scoops of ice cream, syrups flowing down and a bright red cherry topping it all. Arthur placed two small spoons for them.
"I was," she chuckled, "We'll have a child soon, too." she smiled softly and rubbed her still-small stomach. She nearly moaned when she scooped the ice cream to her mouth, the cold desert cooling her lips and the sweet syrup tingling her tongue.
"I want to have 7 children, dear."
Molly's eyes widened. 7 children? Could she possibly even walk after that? "Why is that?"
"I want my own Quidditch Team. Imagine that, the Weasley Quidditch Team?'' Arthurt grinned cheekily.
