A Star of Love
Sasame stood on the mountain's edge, the wind ruffling his hair and the sea churning below. His eyes began to fog with lonely tears, his face curving in sadness. He had made up a song for his beloved Takako, he wished she could hear it. But she was too far gone…too unwilling to accept his simple feelings of immortal love. He wanted her to understand…he wanted her to know…what love was all about.
He conjured up the song in his mind, hoping that the remorse and the love behind the meaning would reach Takako and ring in her ears.
"Fukaku shizumari kaeru…tsutsumikomareta sora to karada o kogasu taiyou, anata ga kieteiku,"
It all becomes completely quiet…from the enwrapped sky and the sun that scorches the body, you are vanishing,
"Nani o motome samayou no? Hitorikiri no boku wa…"
What do you wander, searching for? As for myself, all alone…
"Sameta hitomi no oku de nikushimi o dakishimenagara,"
Inside of cold eyes that are embracing hatred,
Sasame almost smiled, he thought that part was rather clever. Hopefully though…she wouldn't embrace hatred for much longer…he needed her…
"Jibun o urandemo itami wa kie wa shinai,"
Even if you despise yourself, the pain will not vanish,
He hoped that these lyrics might help other people, as well. Takako's relation to this song was 99%, but he added in some elements of today's youth. Maybe someone would hear…and stop their suicidic thoughts.
"Eien ni ikiru kanashimi o dakishimete"
Embrace the eternal sadness
"Kieta kimi o omoitsuzukeru koto shika dekinakute"
I can only keep remembering you who disappeared
"Boku no kawaru koto no nai kimi e no omoi wa"

"Sou…aishiteru."
Yes…I love you.

Illuminated by the moonlight, the wind even snatches away your name that I sing to myself
Sasame bit down hard on his lip. Oh, how he missed Takako so! Where was she? And…was he on her mind?
"Yoake ni hohoemu kimi ga oshietekureta ano uta o utaitsuzuku"
I keep singing the song that you taught me, smiling in the dawn
"Hoshizora ni kaeru namida o kazoeteta"
We were counting the tears that returned to the starry sky
"Nando mo nando mo tada kurikaeshiteita yoru"
That night just repeated over and over again
"Aah, fukaku fukaku ima mo"
Aah, deeply deeply even now
"Sou…aishiteru."
Yes…I love you.
The tears arrived once more, streaming freely down the pale skin, dropping off his chin and soaking into the thin layer of dirt that encased the cliff.
Sasame looked out towards the lowering sun, taking notice of the pinkish sky and the fluffy clouds. He'd always wanted to lie in one…and he'd wanted Takako by his side then, too.
A deep sigh erupted from his mouth and he parted his lips to utter a fe very meaningful syllables:
"Takako…"
And he jumped off the cliff, sailing towards the expansive sea before him, his cape flying behind him like a set of wings.
Author's Notes: So there you have it folks, another Pretear story songfic! Ah…you just have to love Pretear…
Anyway, the song is Hoshi no Suna from Camui Gackt! Some of you might notice that my other Pretear songfic, The Sound of Mizerable, and also my Final Fantasy VIII songfic A Sniff of Scent are Camui Gackt songs as well! Why? I love Gaku! :D He's so awesome!
Okay, so those who haven't read The Sound of Mizerable yet, go! It's also a Sasame/Takako!
One last thing. I should be doing yet another Pretear songfic, a Hayate/Himeno to Camui Gackt's 'Mind Forest.' I don't know what it will be called since I have yet to start it, but I hope you all review it!
