"I didn't know I'd love you so much" She told him as he sat down at the table across from her.

"Wait what?" He can't help but to smile. It felt good to smile. She is smiling too, a cute shy smile.

"You heard me."

"I never thought you'd ever say that."

"Trust me I never thought I'd ever think it! But I do Marcus. I really do." She reaches across and covers his hand. His other hand joins the party.

"And I love you as well Abby."

"Would you ever imagine this? You and me? Because God I used to hate your guts." She laughs softly.

"Hate? I assumed it was a strong disdain?"

"No. I couldn't stand you. But I never gave my chance to know you. The kind generous brave willing to sacrifice yourself for what is right you."

"To be fair Abby I didn't become that man until we got here. And a lot of that is thanks to you. You made me want to be better. Do better. I've done good?" She pulls out her hand from the pile and leans forward and strokes the side of his face.

"You have done amazing Marcus."
