Glinda was an old woman now. At the age of 200, her magic no longer able to keep her young and time truly had gotten to her. As she lay on her death bed, she was happy. She'd finally see her best friend again.

Someone burst into the room. " NO! No, Glinda! You can't be dying! You can't be! " She barely had the strength to look wt the new arrival in the room. The first thing she noticed was their skin. Green. Like Elphie's. But Elpie was dead that was impossible.

"E-Elphie? Is that you! You're dead…Am I seeing ghosts?" The 'ghost' of Elphaba ran to her side, quickly clutching her hand.

She laughed bitterly before replying. " No, it's really me. I never died. I had to fake my death or they'd never stop hunting me, Fiyero wouldn't let me tell you. Stay still, I'm going to lend you some of magic. I will save you."

This shocked Glinda. She must be hallucinating. No way was Elphaba alive, and Fiyero would never say that. Would he? " This…This has to be a hallucination or a dream! You aren't real!"

" Oh! but I'm very real." Elphaba closed her eyes, letting her magic do it's work. Glinda felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She could the wrinkles disappear from her forehead, the life come back inside of her. This was real this was Elphie.

Climbing off the bed, she hugged the green witch as hard as she could. " I've missed you so much. It was never the same without you around. Are you going to stay?"

" I can't stay. No one knows the truth. I'll be hunted once more."

Glinda smiled. " Maybe it's time they know the truth."
