"He'll be sixteen, she'll be fifteen," Harry suggested.

"You really think it'll take that long?" Ron asked.

"If he's as thickheaded as you were, it'll be longer," Hermione answered. "I say he'll be fourteen, and her thirteen."

The conversation stopped suddenly as everyone glanced over their shoulders; someone had come into the room. Fortunately, it was just Arthur.

"What are you talking about?" he asked curiously.

"We're taking bets on when Teddy and Victoire get together. Want to join in?" Charlie asked. "We're all putting in five Galleons, and then whoever is the closest gets the whole lot."

Arthur peered out the window. Three-year-old Teddy was catching lightening bugs and handing them to two-year-old Victoire.

"She'll be a second year, he'll be a third year," he predicted.

Molly came in. "Did I hear right? Arthur, are you taking bets on our grandchildren's love lives?" Molly had always considered Teddy an honorary grandchild.

Andromeda Tonks shrugged. "Hey, I did."

Molly thought about that for a second. "Well, if Andromeda is going along with it, I guess I can to. Put me down for him being one year out of Hogwarts and her being a seventh year."

Ginny leaned down to scrawl that down on a sheet of parchment while Hermione asked, "Where are Bill and Fleur?"

"Right here. Why?" came a voice from right behind her. George snatched the parchment from Ginny and hid it behind his back.

"Hello, Bill!" Percy said, entirely too cheerful.

Bill's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "What's going on?"

Audrey, being fairly new to the family and not willing to get on anyone's bad side, decided to tell them. "We're betting on when Teddy and Victoire get together."

"Ahh," Fleur said, adjusting one-year-old Dominique on her hip. "May I join? Put me down as 'er being five and 'im being six. I zink zat zey will 'ave a childhood romance."

Bill was aghast. "Fleur! You're goingalong with this?"

She shrugged. "Yes. It will 'appen anyway, we might as well 'ave a little fun wiz it."

He sighed and looked out the window. Teddy was standing right next to Victoire, watching her as she set a firefly free from captivity.

"Fine. Put me down as Victoire being fourteen and him being fifteen. And Merlin help him if it's any sooner," he growled, staring threateningly at the little boy.

Then everyone was distracted as the money was collected. It was put, along with the parchment, into a high cupboard in the scullery. Everyone forgot to watch the toddlers for a minute.

Teddy felt like kissing Victoire. And so he did.

Then they returned to catching fireflies, and the kiss was forgotten until more than a decade later, when Ginny won ninety Galleons. Seventeen-year-old Teddy had asked sixeen-year-old Victoire out on a date.

Teddy and Victoire both remembered the kiss, but neither one decided to share it.
