Hey all! I know I should be updating Boston, but I really wanted to write some Inception! Here we go :)

She didn't know exactly what she was doing; sitting at this small café on a street corner in Paris. It was a cliché scene, really. The pretty young woman waiting for the handsome fellow to come and sweep her off her feet in the most romantic city in the world. But it was far from romantic. In fact, she wasn't waiting for the handsome fellow to sweep her off her feet. She was waiting for news. News about a different handsome fellow.

A nice looking man with slicked back blond hair sat across from the young lady. She feared looking up. She hated bad news.

"He's in the hospital." It was the only sentence said between them until they arrived at said hospital. She nodded carefully. He didn't mention that he was lying broken in that hospital. All that mattered to this girl was where he was and if he was dead. Both were answered in such a simple sentence.

When the two arrived at the hospital, she went straight for his room. She was told he was sleeping, but not doing well. She held back tears.

"Arthur, you have to wake up." She said. She hoped he could hear her. She knew he wasn't dreaming; none of them really could anymore. "Please."

The other friends of Arthur watched from outside the room. It was a heartbreaking sight. She sat down in a chair by his bed. They all knew she wasn't leaving anytime soon.

"Do you think Ariadne will tell him?" One friend, Yusuf, said to another, Eames. Eames shook his head sadly. At this point, he wasn't sure if Arthur would ever wake up. Cobb, the man at the café, appeared beside them.

"I don't think he'll ever be alive to know." Eames said sadly.

Almost as if to spite Eames, Arthur woke up a few minutes later.

"Arthur?" Ariadne said hopefully. Nobody moved.

"Yes?"

"Please don't ever try and perform inception on a buffalo again." Eames snickered at Ariadne's request. Yusuf just sighed in relief that Arthur wasn't dead.

"Yes…I know…" The hoof marks were prominent on his forehead and arms. Ariadne brushed hair from his eyes.

"Five bucks she says it now." Eames whispered to Yusuf.

"I love you, Arthur, but you are really stupid sometimes."

As Arthur returned the love, Yusuf slipped Eames a fiver and Cobb just stood there smiling like a goon.

He's a creepy romantic.
