Sitting in a chair facing the open kitchen window, a woman with long flowing ebony hair hung over the back of the chair moving with the gentle wind. Looking out the window she sees a teenaged boy with hair that matches her own was coming towards the front door. It was nothing more than her son, Rei. Rei was not a normal boy, for he was a neko-jin or part cat part human. On many occasion he was mistaken for a girl. As Rei ran towards the door, the woman rose to greet her only son.
"Oh, Mother, we got a new student at school, he's from Russia. His name is Kai Hiwatari." Rei said as he enters the house.
"Well that is good I hope you both become friends." she said as she watched her son walk to the stairs and towards his room.
"I hope you don't mind that I asked him to come over for dinner tonight." he said as he stopped on the stairs and looked at his mother.
"Oh that is fine. I'll just set another place for dinner.
Rei's P.O.V.
I can't believe that I did ask Kai over for dinner. It just isn't something that I would usually do, but what made me want to?
Ding Dong
The door. I better get to the door before Mother or Father.
Normal P.O.V.
Rei ran down the stairs towards the door just as his father walked into the room to answer it."I got it Father. It is just one of my friends from school." Rei said as he jumped the last four steps to the main floor.
"Okay are they staying for dinner?" Lee, Rei's father, asked.
"Yes and Mother already knows." Rei said as he walked the rest of the way to the door.
"Just stay in your room until dinner is done. That should be about another twenty to thirty minutes." Lee said as he walked back towards his study.
"'Kay and thank you." Rei yelled as he opened the door to reveal the one and only Kai.
He was wearing a midnight blue top that was just tight enough to show his muscles but not so tight that you could see them clearly. His pants were a dark denim and hung on his hips. Blue triangles were in place on his cheeks and his slate coloured hair was semi-messy hair.
''Hey come on in.'' Rei said as he moved out to the way and allowed Kai to enter his house.
''So what are we going to do?'' Kai asked as he slowly entered the house.
"Well we have to stay in my room until dinner is done and that should be in about twenty to thirty minutes." Rei said as he closed the door and turned to face Kai.
"Okay." was all Kai said.
"Well lets go to my room." Rei said as he started to walk towards the stairs. Glancing back he saw that Kai was following him like an obedient puppy with out any command. "What would you like to do?"
