Two Halves by the Night Sky

That man up there. He was the man. The man of every woman's dreams... Mr. Tall, Dark and
Handsome. He was gazing at the night sky when I first saw him. Leaning towards the railing of a
balcony, gazing, watching everything that surround him. He was dressed in a long red turtleneck,
black slacks and black casual shoes. I could not help but stare at such intimidating yet appealing
man. He had a paled complexion, long dark ebony tresses, high cheekbones, a well-shaped
profiled nose and crimson eyes. Those eyes. They held such an intense yet mysterious gaze that I
could not look away from him. His name was mysterious as well, Vincent Valentine. It suits fits
him well.
During my musings he must have sensed me watching him because he was looking at me with
a questioning glance. I smiled at him and waved my arm in a dismissive way. He looked at me
for a while before shrugging and returning his attention towards the star-filled sky. Curious about
what he found so fascinating of the sky I turned my attention toward it as well. I leaned back to
the grass across the front porch of the abandoned mansion Vincent lived . It was kind of creepy,
but it was comfortable, and the important thing was to have a roof of protection from bad
weather, as I once said.
" Beautiful, is it not Miss Lockheart? "
Startled that he was suddenly sitting right next to me I only nodded. Since when did he got
there? I shifted my gazed to him from the corner of my eye to realize he was watching me with
an amused expression. I smiled at him and closed my eyes, letting the moon-glow basked me.
After a long pause I finally got the courage to speak .
" Tifa"
Confused as to why I was saying my own name, I opened my eyes to look at him as I spoke.
" Call me Tifa, Vincent. We have known each other for three years. Miss Lockheart just sounds
too formal for me."
" As you wish Miss Tifa."
I couldn't help but giggle at his formal ways. Since the day I met him it was always like that.
The first time I heard my name rolled off his lips I was flatter by the way he pronounced it with
his deep, smooth voice. It sounded so...intimate.
During the reminder of the night, Vincent and I talked about our past lives. I was astonished to
know that he was still suffering a heartbreak from a past relationship he held with a woman
named Lucrecia. She did not love him as much as he did, and left him for another man named
Hojo, who was into the Italian Mafia. She told Vincent that if he followed her she'd have Hojo
take care of him personally. How ironic, and here I thought I was the only one suffering from a
heartbreak. I told him I knew of that pain, for I have been suffering from it too and told him how
I found my ex-lover, Cloud, and best friend, Aeris, kissing each other. Later on Cloud called
telling me he never loved me.
When I gazed at his face he held a forlorn expression and a bitter smile. Slowly he turns to me
and looked straight into my deep mahogany eyes. His eyes filled with such an intense emotion
that my heart started fluttering wildly against my chest. A breath-taking smile adorned his
handsome face.
" Miss Tifa, do you think two halves of a same broken heart can make a whole new ?"
