SECRET WEAPON

He didn't need to see the expression on Sam's face, he could tell by the prickle at the back of his neck that danger was imminent. "It's behind me, isn't it? Dean mouthed to his brother.
A quick flick of Sam's blue-green eyes was his answer.
"Down, up, or to the side?" Again the communication was all but silent. They often considered this unique connection to be their secret weapon.
Sam's gaze went south for a split second. He tapped three fingers on his thigh.
Dean watched Sam silently count, hitting the deck on three just as Sam's sawed-off roared.
