"Sasuke stop!" Naruto dove on top of Sasuke, knocking him to the floor and the gun out of Sasuke's hand "What do you think you're doing?" Naruto demanded as he pinned Sasuke to the floor. Sasuke glared at Naruto "leave me alone dobe" he snapped. "So you can kill yourself? I'm not that dumb Sasuke" Naruto replied, his blue eyes snapping.

He has so much…Why?—how were we so different?

"How could you understand? You have friends! You have all you could possibly need!" Sasuke was yelling now "I did. But that was taken away, my life was trampled, my dreams; shattered. I was completely alone because of the family I lost. All I have now is my life…" his voice dropped to a tortured whisper "Let me use it how I want. What do you care if I d—"the sound of skin hitting skin cut Sasuke off as Naruto slapped him across the face "What would I Care?" he asked "I've never had a family…but with you it's almost like I have a brother. And I imagine how that would feel. With you as a friend…I have everything…" Blue eyes gazed steadily into Onyx ones until Sasuke looked away, unable to meet Naruto's gaze "Please Naruto…" Sasuke whispered "It's what I want." "You're my friend Sasuke" Naruto replied "And as long as you're important to me I can't let you have that wish"

He could see the good side of life…I saw the darkness…He cared, but did he really understand? He who had never lost anything…

They sat in silence, Naruto still on top of Sasuke, scared that if he moved Sasuke would grab the gun. "Naruto…I—"Sasuke's voice was low and husky "I'm sorry…" the last word was a whisper and Naruto swallowed hard "Don't—its fine Sasuke" His voice was equally as quiet. "I just don't want you to go…"

He really cared… I could see it in his face, his blue eyes pleading with me to not give up…with a look like that…I could only comply to forget my death wish.
