Reflections
What if the Ravens have lost the game by a disappointing 20 points? After that game all Nathan could think about was the guilt. Daunte said that it if they won the game last week by less then ten. Nathan's debts to him would be gone. Nathan never thought that Daunte would ask him to let down his team. Or even put his family or basketball career in jeopardy. Then Nathan thought about all the people he let down. For most of the team this was a last chance and maybe there last game of basketball ever. Nathan was lucky. He had gotten a scholarship and his father had a lot of money. For most of his team mates this game was about getting into collage. Nathan also thought about coach Whitey. This was his last game. If anything Nathan let him down. He had no pride for what he did. Nathan would never forgive himself because it was his fault for the loss. Now when he teaches his son to always do the right thing. That night will always hang over him. He thought about how disappointed his son would be in him. What if…………………
Nathan would have lost the game, if winning it meant losing the people he loves.
