Disclaimer: I don't own it, boo!
Notes: Written for Nri, as requested. I'm not so familiar with Blackout's character, I mean who actually is the 'bot got a whole two lines of dialog in the film("Hail Megatron!"), and then he dies. His bit was even less then Jazz's! But I was offered a deal I just couldn't pass up, write a Blackout/Megatron fic(one-sided, angsty) and I would get Nri's first born! How could I resist that offer?! So here it is...

Orns had gone by, without a single word form their leader. Blackout knew that the longer time past the more restless his less loyal comrades were becoming. He knew that it was just a matter of time before they would begin looking for a new leader, and he was equally as sure which Decepticon would dare to try and fill the void Megatron's disappearance had left. Starscream, even thinking the name made his wires crackle in rage.
In all honesty, Blackout couldn't understand why Megatron had allowed such a conniving weasel to live, let alone promoted him to second in command. If it had been up to Blackout Starscream would have died vorns ago; but it wasn't his call, it was Megatron's and he would respect whatever choice his leader made. Even if he didn't understand it; Megatron never did anything without having a purpose in mind.
His lofty opinion of Megatron however, still left them in their current predicament. They needed a leader, they need guidance, they needed Megatron, or else they would lose the war against the Autobots. And Blackout wasn't about to let that happen. No, he would not allow all his Lord's hard work and sacrifice go to waste just because Starscream was inept.
That's how he came to be out here, in the cold and frozen depths of outer space. In hopes of finding Megatron and bringing him back to Cybertron, he and a few of the others still loyal Decepticons held a secret launch. The mission: find Megatron, and bring him back.
They had searched for orns without any signs, clues, or hope until without warning a scanner picked up a very, faint energy signature that lead them to a little blue and green planet. It looked so small and inconspicuous, hardly a place where Megatron would be but—Blackout volunteered to scout it out anyway. Maybe if he was lucky he would be the first to find his—their Megatron and if it proved to be a false lead they could just destroy the planet and move on.
They would find him again, Blackout was sure of it. He would continue the search, and the wait for his beloved Megatron, forever.
