This is just something that came to me when i was on holiday, but my computer broke so i couldnt upload it... hope you enjoy :) my theory as to what kind of weapon River really is.

See, Melody Pond never really destroyed anyone, not really, she was a weapon, evoking fear in a good man, a good man who thought his days were numbered, little did he know it was just the beginning. For Melody Pond, that last kiss was the end for her, the end of knowing a man who knew nothing about her. But now he was becoming that man who knew her, and loved her. And she killed a good man, once upon a time, but that wasn't him, that impossible man, he was the man that she didn't kill, the man she was brought up to love; the man she was taught to make love her... Because melody pond wasn't about to kill the man she loved. She was there to make him fall in love, to make him feel, to make him prepared to do anything for her; to make him more and more human. And once the doctor was human, he was just like anyone else, he had mercy, and he was powerless. And a powerless doctor was exactly what Madame Kovarian wanted. Besides, killing him off was just too obvious, and the death of a good man made a perfect red herring.
p.s. To anyone who's read my other fan fic sorry for the slow updating; broken computer meant I lost the chapters I was working on so I'm having to re-write them :(
