This fic is based on a character I made up thoughts. I made up a story called 'Legendary Heroes' and I have changed the storyline a little bit. My story might be confusing. Flames accepted.
Hope
Hi, I'm a very important person in Eliwood's Army. Why do you ask? I just found out that I'm the very 'hope' that would save the world. Why I am the only one that can save the world? Is it because I am the descendant of one of the original legendary heroes? Or is it because I'm really experienced at sword fighting? Whatever it is, I'm destined to find the answer myself.
But I'm confused, or lost within myself. How can an eleven year old girl like me be able to save the world? I'm not even supposed to be sword fighting yet! Not until I'm thirteen anyway!
Nergal has surely poisoned my mind with Ninian's death. I can still hear his echo, cackling evilly at me and my friends. Sigh I don't know what do to.
Lyn has been right beside me since I first meet her in Sacre. She keeps on supporting me, even though I have done many sins and broke many of her rules about sword fighting and keeping silent.
I can hear her supportive words in my head, "Don't fret my friend. Me, Eliwood and Hector will always stand beside you. No matter what the situation is, we four will always be friends."
Well, that's true, our friendship has been bonded by Lyn's support, Hector's loyalty, Eliwood's respect and… I don't know what makes me part of this group. Lyn, Eliwood and Hector have shown those skills to the rest of our army. But have I shown any friendship skills to our gang?
Sain once told me, "You always look out for other people, even when they are feeling down you help them with their troubles. You bring them hope."
Hope… that word still lingers in my mind. I thought Max had that skill but I remember a conversation that changed my mind about myself.
"Out of all the friends I have. You give me courage and hope. I don't know how you do it… it's amazing," Max said.
"Are you telling the truth Max?" I asked.
"Yes, I'm telling you the truth. You have something about you that everyone wants to have. You're the only one that can achieve that though," Max replied.
I'm still confused, what happens if I die on the way to the final battle with Nergal? No…I should not be worrying about it now.
I'm sure that my men and the rest of the group will be protecting me more often now. But I don't want everyone to die protecting me. I care for everyone's safety, even if it's a man like Jaffar, who has murdered many innocents. But I knew he was manipulated by Nergal. Good thing Nino turned Jaffar into a man willing to help me and my group.
"Hey!"
Someone just interrupted my thoughts. Oh, it's just Eliwood.
"We have finished buying our supplies, we better load them in our cart," Eliwood mentioned.
"I'll be following you soon," I replied.
Now, I can only give one special thing to my friends that will carry us through the odds that are drowning us in pain and sorrow.
Hope.
The End
