Here have some fluff.
The crowd was cheering, the game was over, and Alfred was the star! Alfred was the starting quarterback, and the team captain. Alfred was happy as ever when he saw Matthew in his usual spot clapping,smiling, and cheering.
Mattie was Alfred's boyfriend of four met in seventh grade and quickly became good friends. Mattie was extremely supportive and only ever missed one of Alfred's games when he was in the hospital after falling out of a tree and breaking a few bones. Freshman year Alfred asked Matthew to the homecoming dance, Mattie, of course, accepted. There they were almost four years later, It was game day and they were both happy as ever.
This day could not get any better, Alfred won and both Alfred and Mattie were excited for their anniversary the next day.
After the game was over each player went up to the microphone on the field to thank everyone for going to the game and supporting the team. While his other teammates went up Alfred took off his gear and combed his sweaty hair back. It was then his turn to go up. he was the last one to make the speech as always. The entire team stood proudly behind him at the mic.
"Hello everyone, thank you for coming to the homecoming game! Your support means a lot." Alfred spoke excitedly into the microphone.
Alfred pulled a small box out of his pocket.
"I especially want to thank my boyfriend Matthew, he been here to support me at every game since seventh grade. We've been through a lot together. Tomorrow in our four year anniversary and I have a very serious question to ask him." Mattie's heartbeat quickened and he was practically in tears. He started walking down the stairs careful not to trip. As he came closer to the field, Alfred started to talk again, keeping his eyes on Matthew the entire time. Alfred got on one knee and opened the box.
"Matthew Williams, the most handsome amazing man I know, Will you marry me?" Mattie's slow walk turned into a full on run right into Alfred arms. Matthew quietly repeated "yes!" into his finances ear.
Alfred slipped the Ring onto Matthew's finger and smiled. "Will you go to homecoming with me Mattie?" "Yes Alfred, I would love to"
