Bony Fingers
From whence it came, I daren't ponder,
Yet though it wanders over yonder,
I find no comfort that it knows.
It knows where my family dwells;
It knows where my father delves;
It knows all there is about us.
At night I find no rest,
Although yestereve there was a test,
To find out where it resides,
Though to no avail after five hours;
By chance I discover here it lies;
The creature in my room, which gazes at toy towers,
And turns and wraps its bony fingers
Round my throat, intending to throttle me;
As the world fades away, Gollum, here lingers.
