Meet me on the equinox
Meet me halfway
The sun is perched at it's highest peak
In the middle of the day
And let me give my love to you
Let me take your hand
And as we walk in the dimming light
Oh darling understand
That everything, everything ends
He had always told her things were going to end and move on to become something new. She had dismissed his words so many times, wanting to live in the moment instead of looking at the negative.
She always wondered why he thought that way. Why he even bothered to bring it up. Just because he was a skeptic, it didn't mean he had to look at all of the bad things.
The two didn't go…but at the same time they did.
Those words continued to become true as the years passed by. Even though they stayed together through it all, everything else around them came and went.
Like their ghost team. Only two years after it had aired, they couldn't continue with it anymore. Three of them were headed off to collage, when the other two remained to finish up school.
The fact that they were off to different places didn't help. There was no way they'd be able to come back to do a few more investigations.
Just like that, it had ended.
Along the way, one of her favorite bands had broken apart. She was upset, but told herself to move on.
Event after event ended just as more had come to replace it. Even life had come to replace itself.
Like right now. As she stood in front of his resting sight, she tried to keep the tears from coming.
But they continued to come anyways. Even as they rolled down her glistening cheeks, she managed to laugh bitterly at herself.
It was like had knew all along that he wasn't going to last as long as they all hoped. But how would he know of a car crash that wouldn't take place for more than a few years?
She collapsed then and there. She had always tried to ignore him.
But even on the inside, she couldn't disagree that everything ended.
