A/N: it's about time I put this in.
[EDIT: I fixed most of the mistake I could find and tried to make it easier for you to understand it. But if there is something unclear, message me or leave a review, I'll fix it. For most part, the story was extended but the plot is still the same.]

*Cassandra famously foretold ill fortunes and calamities which nobody believed in, she was said to be cursed by Apollo after she had refused his sexual advances. In that sense a Cassandra would be anyone (man or woman) who issues a warning about an awful event and whose prediction is later verified. The misfortune falls on others and not on the teller.
Kudou Shinichi was on his way home with his childhood friend and former crush Mouri Ran who everyone thought to be his girlfriend but that wasn't the case. Sure he loved her and the feeling was mutual at some point. They did come to a point where they confessed to each other and dated for awhile but that didn't end well, the feeling they had was not the kind they thought they had. It was more of a family love kind-of-feeling. Ran have moved on and started dating someone else who deserves her more than he does.
"See ya Shinichi!" she climbed the stairs and waved at
He held up his hand as a wave to her as she walked up the stairs to her father's agency.
A friend of his over the internet half way across the world, gave him the name Cassandra* and seriously, it have nothing to do with him. His luck is either soaring or all the gods and deities that exists hated his guts. Each day he would run into a case or the other way around, like just now. That's right, on his way home, Ran wanted some crepes so they went to get some but it ended with the person in front of them in the line waiting for crepes drop dead after some poisoning in the crepes.
It's not like he haven't tried running away from it, he did but he just gave up. It's also the biggest reason why it took so long for him and Ran to get together and the main reason of their break up and do not get him started on that one time when someone died in the elevator at the same restaurant Ran and Shinichi was having dinner at. Just...Lady Luck hates him.
With the crows settled long ago, Haibara no longer have to hide in the dark and Edogawa Conan disappeared, for good. Haibara chose to stay as a child to live the childhood she never had and Kudou Shinichi return from his long undercover FBI investigation to his normal life.
He told Ran everything and she wasn't happy with him, as Conan she told him some embarrassing secrets and also help him bathe so it's not a big surprise. But overall, Ran was furious. She recalled every time he nearly died saving her as Conan and she realised he was so close yet so far away.
With nothing better to do, the Detectives Boys decided to continue the group after Conan-kun left to go back home to his family. All Shinichi wants is that they would not inherit the name of Cassandra* from him.
Today will be a wonderful day. KID sent out a notice and as popular as he is it was broadcast on nearly every news programs throughout the day. Shinichi deciphered it, no sweat. He gave it to the Detective Boys and they've solved it too. It's too easy almost like a decoy:

As usual his notice ended with his trademark doodle.
This will be the second heist that Shinichi would attend as 'Shinichi' although he been to plenty and each time putting up with the irritation of his size and the fact that he have to look up to see the theft properly without missing his head was kind of annoying.
The sun was going fast in winter, it's already close to the heist estimated time and since Shinichi couldn't get into the heist location without a costume of some sort he had to quickly go home and get change. After all, it is a masquerade party. You just have to get a costume.
"Shin-chan!" and he forgot about his mother dropping by.
"Please get off me." Seriously why is it that every time she sees him, she would automatically jump him? "Kaa-san, can you help me?"
Yukiko released her son and looked at him confused but obliged to whatever he have to say.
After hours of makeup and changing, Shinichi finally added the finishing touch to his costume. Turning a few times in front of the mirror with his mother at the back giggling like a school girl "So how do you think about this Shin-chan? You've grew ears and a tail!" She did small claps looking as happy as ever.
Now, these...accessories of his costume are special because depending on his emotions these ears and tail can move almost as if it's real. It even feels real now that it's properly equipped.
"Thank you Kaa-san."
"No problem! Oh Shin-chan, I'm leaving today. Your dad ran away again and here I thought I could cuddle with you when he's over there working quietly! See you later honey! Make sure you eat properly, love!" Yukiko hugged him one last time and raced out the door, heading for the airport.
Shinichi sighed and walked out the door, locking it afterward. He adjusted his black vest, white button-up underneath as he strolled down the street in his black, skinny jeans with his tail whipping behind and his ears twitching. People stared at him blushing, giggling as he walked pass. They seem to know who he is, his fans probably.
"Hello there Cat Detective," A husky voice startled him. A person cloaked in black stood next to him, barely reaching his chest. Their frame was small so they can't be KID in disguise."Would you like to have your fortune read?" the person asked.
"Who are you?" Shinichi's tail twitched annoyingly behind his back.
"A fortune teller, my dear." the fortune teller showed their crystal ball from under their cloak
"Um.. no. I need to get somewhere quick." Shinichi tried to slide away.
"Meeting a loved one?" the fortune teller asked "Or are you still scared of what is lurking in the dark?"
The detective narrowed his eyes at the stranger's words "What do you mean?"
"Please take a seat." the fortune teller pointed to the edge of the water fountain in the park nearby "And place your hand on the ball and relax."
"I want answers to what you said earlier." Shinichi glared at the other person.
"That is exactly why you are here."
He followed the mysterious person instructions "From today onward you will have lots of surprises so please expect the unexpected. Your fate will start to turn! Your life will be change! Amongst the stars of wishes, You shall be the chosen one, your desires will be satisfied! Your feelings will be returned! Only one problem." the person held up a bony finger "Shall the phantom be able to see through the lies and find you."
"What do you mean by that?" he turned to asked.
"What good would a prophecy be if it was so easy to understand?" and the person disappeared.
The detective continued to occupy his mind with the fortune he was told 'Expect the unexpected? Through the lies?' He asked himself and saw his watch "Oh crap, I'm late." and dashed to the heist.
The room was filled with filthy rich and famous people, just right for his heist. The boy who had been mistaken for Kudou Shinichi several time that evening yawned and stretched in his chair and had to re-introduced him as the magic extraordinaire, Kuroba Kaito. He was also in costume as KID or rather KID was walking among the crowd casually since there are more than 10 Kid in the same room. If they were to somehow catch him during the party he would turn into Kuroba Kaito, one of KID's many fans. This heist would be easy or so he thought. He saw Mouri Ran with one of his rich fangirl Suzuki Sonoko who was waiting by the entrance, for someone.
Hakuba as usual was following him accusing him as Kid and tell him to turn himself in which was ignore and abandoned quite some time ago. Smirking, he glanced at the clock 30 more minute until his heist starts.
"No problem." Shinichi answered to his phone and tucked it away after he hung up "so tell me again why you're here?" as he continued his way to the heist.
"Like I said I'm 'ere on a 'avcation so I decide ta stay with yer until summer b'eak ends." the Great Detective of the West explained as he strolled into pace with his friend.
"What about Kazuha?" the Cat Detective touched his own ears to remove the dirt that was stuck at the rim.
"Oh she 'ent ahead ta the 'eist" the Osakan took interest in the newly features added to Shinichi's body. He unconsciously reached and squeezed Shinichi's whipping tail.
"What the hell?!" Shinichi shrieked and turned around.
"You can feel it?!" asked Heiji surprisingly "Cool!
"Yes! I can feel them." he stated in obvious and reached for his own tail and gently examined it 'Maybe using nanotechnology as a part of my costume wasn't a good idea' he thought. The rest of the trip was spent with Heiji constantly looking (some time touching) at the ears and tail which was taunting him with the way they twitched and move.
Finally, they reached the destination of KID's heist.
"Took you long enough!" Sonoko immediately scolded as soon as she saw them with hands on her hips, wearing a snow white dress with a matching headband, with a similar pattern with KID's outfit. Ran, on the hand, tried to calm her best friend down, in her costume dressing as Mouri Ran.
Now that they've all settled down, they made their way inside. Shinichi ears twitched all around since his ears can also hear things like a cat and the noise are really getting to him.
"Shinichi, are those real?" Ran looked at it with great desire for interaction.
"In some way they are." he answered and she quickly reached and grabbed his tail "Can you not? My tail is very sensitive" He blushed heavily, that sentence didn't feel right as a human.
Some more minutes until his entrance, KID is all ready.
Skipping around among the crowd he came across Tantei-kun, looking pretty this evening and cute with the ears and tail… wait ears and tail? KID stared at the twitching ears and whipping tail until he realised it's about time for his entrance 'Maybe I should steal more than the gem tonight.' he thought to himself before pulling the lever to turn off the power.
If it weren't for Tantei-kun, Inspector Nakamori wouldn't even be here tonight. Said inspector was leading his group shouting and yelling his men around trying to turn the power back on as our favourite theft slipped on the stage and stole his prize, slipped it in his pocket before the lights returned.
He smirked "Ladies and gentlemen!" he caught many people's attention which earn lots of gasps from the audiences "I shall show you a beautiful night to commemorate tonight's event" and he snapped his fingers the task force ninja costume changed to princesses and their face covered in heavy cosmetic. The room was redecorated in pink. The gentlemen's costumes were changed to old fashioned dukes and the ladies into duchesses as expected Tantei-kun was nowhere to be seen as he waved goodbye and started running toward escape route.
"Splendid night isn't it Mister Cat Tantei-kun?" KID teased as usual, the detective previously ran to the roof from the second floor and the whole building is 20 floors tall -using the stairs as a result he can't speak yet instead he tried to catch his breath. How KID got there before him? He don't know.
"Your poor tail was badly abused tonight. Should I heal it better?" KID walked to Shinichi the wind blew his cape and in seconds Shinichi was heavily pinned to the wall.
"You stay the hell away from my tail." The detective breathlessly grumbled.
"Well well, you sure have a foul mouth. Not that you can do anything right now...but that grumble you just made, I'll rather hear that from you, in bed and in pleasure."
Shinichi's ears perked up. Did KID just shamelessly make a sex joke right now? In a place and time like this?
"How cute~" the theft grabbed Shinichi's ears and rubbed them out of pure adorableness.
The Cat Detective could feel the theft skinny and gentle fingers working their magic on his ears and ,to his surprise, losed his footing. His legs was weak and it wobbled as he tried to stand up and the fingers was still there, rubbing and sending an oddly satisfactory feeling down his spine. He just wanted to curl up in the theft's laps "Damn you KID." he mumbled against his instinct to jump the other.
"Haha~ but you're so cute Shin-chan~" Now that touched a nerve. But the fingers! Screw them fingers which is somehow arousing him!
"Don't call me that and get your fingers off my ears." the critic muttered.
"But you're cute like that," Oh crap the word 'cute' wasn't supposed to be out of KID's mouth at all this evening "And do you realise how hard you're blushing right now?" the phantom leaned in closer to Shinichis's ears and whispered. "So god damn ravishing." In his husky voice he sent a chill down his detective's spine. That's right, his detective. It took a lot out of the theft to say that without his poler face slipping off but the deepened red on the detective's face was god damn worth it. "Hey, is it okay if I take you right here?" he breathed in which Shinichi pushed him away.
Jokingly, KID pushed forward and landed a kiss on the detective's lips (and silently put the gem in the detective's pocket). Seconds, to what feels like hours to the two, they finally broke apart after the heated tongue battle that KID just forced upon Shinichi.
"You. Are. So. Dead." Shinichi glared and grinned madly.
"Glad you liked it, love. But I gotta go! Ciao, Meine Prinzessin~" In a flash, his hang glider spread like wings as he jumped down the tall structure.
Shinichi who soon came back to his sense, noticed the task force that just slammed the door opened, huffing for air like gorillas and throwing their rainbow languages at the theft. He quickly made his way pass the inspector, handed him the jewel (which he did notice when he tried to stuff his hands in his pocket, quite harshly too), quickly ran back to the hall where everyone is, waved goodbye to his friends, told Heiji not to stay at his place and ran back home with a heavy blush that he hoped no one had realised his moist lips and insanely red face.
Back at home where it's safe, he locked every possible entry from inside the house and to his bed room. He threw himself at his king sized bed, burying his face in the pillow his mind drowned in the kiss and then the fortune teller's words popped up 'Expect the unexpected. Your life will be changed.' echoed through his mind and lured him to sleep. It's been quite a long time since he was last release from his endless cycle of sleepless night and he was glad the his brain was finally put to rest.
He can't help it. He found a new feeling and it's not normal to say. Shinichi can't be stuffed with having his cerebrum running it's nerves off on something as complicated as this and KID at the same time and he and the rest of his body have to suffer for it. No, sleep is the answer to everything, Shinichi happily agreed and threw everything away, embracing only sleep. If not, who knows how many more phenylethylamine, norepinephrine and dopamine his brain would release to put his mind into a spiral full of KID. The next thing he know, he'll be rejected because he can't control himself.
The next morning, the first thing that moved from Shinichi's body was his tail, it whipped around for quite a while until he decided to get up and followed his usual routine. Make a coffee, get the newspaper outside and the mail, sit down while reading the newspaper, wash the cup and then do all those crappy cold cases sitting, waiting patiently for him in his library. Today is the weekends so he doesn't have to worry much about school. The routine was the same except he'll have to find something to occupy himself with after. the cases. Maybe he should re-read his Holmes collection or finish the Touch Detective DS game or maybe Professor Layton.
But then the door bell rang "Coming~" he ran and opened the door still have the cat ears and tail on because screw that, he'll take it off when he remembers to and have nothing better to do.
"Hello," a bouquet of flower was in his face and let's just say, having flowers right in your face early in the morning isn't a very good thing to have.
Let's see, white roses surround the red roses and a camellia in the middle? The flower was moved away revealed a boy slightly taller than him, looks kinda like him except the stranger's eyes are much more like indigo than his blues orbs, not to mention the hair is more untamed than his own.
"Hello my name is Kuroba Kaito', magic extraordinaire. Nice to meet you."
Could he be? "Um…hi. What business do you have with me? " Shinichi answered awkwardly. No way...
"I like you. Would you go out with me, meine prinzessin?" The boy with the name Kaito grinned.
Shinichi's eyes widen in shocked "KID?!" the detective face heated up. Wait, let's recap. So Shinichi was enjoying his morning until a stranger showed up who look like him and asked him out. Where in the world does this happen? Oh right Beika, Japan in front of Kudou Shinichi's house.
"You recognised me, Tantei-kun! That's nice~" and the bouquet is now shoved in Shinichi's arm.
"What are you doing here?" Shinichi pulled the magician into his house out of reflex.
"Came to confess to you sweetheart~ though I didn't expect you to be the impatient type." the other sang happily and winked.
"How did you know?" Shinichi looked at the ground, his ears and tail dropped, motionless.
"Huh?"
"How did you know that I like you? Are you taking that as a joke?" Shinichi averted the other's gaze.
Kaito couldn't believe his luck. Their feelings was mutual and Shinichi thought he was joking?! "What are you talking about?! If I was taking this as a joke I wouldn't even show you my face now would I?!" Kaito pulled the super depressed Cat Detective tight in his embrace.
"Y-you mean you really like me?"
"Of course not…" He paused.
Shinichi quickly struggled against the theft's iron grip, squirming and forcing his way out, wanting to run away and locking himself in his room's for days. Scenarios of what kind of mess the Great Detective of the East would become in the future that ran through his head was endless and all hopeless. He should have known, this kind of feeling toward a male was disgusting. There would be no way KID would accept him, maybe he knew all along and just chose to ignore it and this pain and guilt will continue to eat him forever. What would happen next? Shinichi, for the first time, did not want to know. He is certain that it will hurt, more than his separation with Ran was, it will leave a wound that will never heal and-
"I love you"
All motion stopped. Shinichi's brain stoppped processing, his heart skipped a beat and the butterfly in his stomach multiply and is reacting violently.
It took all of what Kaito had left in him to say those three simple words and he was glad he did. The heat that variate from Shinichi, who was fitting neatly in his embrace, was warming him thoroughly.
Shinichi's breath shivered. All his struggling halted and Kaito plopped his head on Shinichi's shoulder, looking down at his love interest's tail that began to whip wildly in excitement. "Shinichi, are you okay? Y-you're shaking..." Kaito pushed away only to be pulled back by the cat humanoid in another embrace.
"D-Don't look at me right now." Shinichi said in a husky voice, much similar to Kaito's.
"Don't look? I can just push you down and screw you all day long by just hearing your voice, you know." Kaito whispered into Shinichi's ear.
"You beast."
Kaito lifted Shinichi up which caused Shinichi to cling to him even tighter, panting hot breathe to his neck "Is this your way of seducing me?" It's working by the way, Kaito added in his head "I'll just show you how much of a beast I can be."
"Wa-Wait! You're joking!" Shinichi started squirming.
"Haha, nope." Kaito set Shinichi down with a soft plop on the sofa and towered over him.
"You-!"
Kaito caressed Shinichi's tail with a little too much force "Guh!" which caused the detective to jerk upward, grinding his body with Kaito.
Kaito smirked in happiness "Erotic," he whispered into Shinichi's ear, nipping at the detective's neck and wrapping an arm around the detective's thin waist, securing him tightly to himself "You didn't react like this when others touched you," flipping their position with Shinichi now on top, pressing against him "Such lewd body that only reacts to me, sounds enticing."
Shinichi pushed himself away and fell roughly on the floor, glaring at the theft "I thought you were enjoying it..." Kaito pulled a puppy face which is successfully making Shinichi feel guilty "Hey, Shin-chan I was wondering if you really like me..." Kaito pouted, it's a little too early in the relationship to say this though.
"I- Nya!"
The two paused for a while "Shinichi. Try saying something."
"Nya! Nya, nya nya-" the detective paused "Nya! Nya nya! Nya nya nya!"
"As much as I love hearing you meow at me, I can't understand what you're trying to say." Kaito went over to where Shinichi was "What happened?"
"Nya..." Shinichi growled.
"'kay. Got it." Kaito grinned "What am I doing?"
"Nya..." Shinichi grumbled.
"I bet your meow sound real good in bed right now." Kaito got whacked "Haha, seriously though, I want to hear you talking again. What do I have to do?"
Shinichi took out his phone and typed [I don't know.] Kaito glomped Shinichi, knocking both on the ground.
"Shin-chan! You'll turn into a cat for real!" Kaito cried "And we only just started to date!"
Shinichi patted the (fake) crying theft, gently.
Up some where on the high window the fortune teller smiled "Didn't I tell you so?" the mysterious fortune teller whispered and disappeared from the high up window.

It's been a month since the confession took place and Kaito was quite happy, no actually he was not just quite happy. He was very happy now that his detective and he are living in the same house (most of the time because Kaito insist on staying close.) right now they're out shopping for dinner so Shinichi could eat some 'real' food (Kaito's courtesy).
"Hehehe, hello there, detective would you like to have your fortune read?" Shinichi immediately turned around which cause Kaito to also look back. There stood the fortune teller with her hair and face shown cloaked in the same black coat "Well?"
"Who are you?" Kaito asked, examining the girl.
"A fortune teller, my dear."
"You're still the same huh?" Shinichi asked
Said fortune teller grinned "Well?"
"Yes please!" Kaito led his Shinichi following the smaller girl.
"Take a seat." she pointed to the very same water fountain that she read Shinichi about a month ago "Alright, both of you please place one of your hand on the crystal ball and close your eyes." The same instruction Shinichi did a month ago except this time he wasn't alone, he was with Kaito "You can open them now." They both opened their eyes the fortune teller stared at the ball for a while.
The two looked at each other, Kaito grinned and finally the fortune teller looked up "Your intercourse will happen in three months" the detective blushed. Maybe the fortune teller should have told them something else. Should they trust her this time? It worked before but if they rush it… "You'll get interrupted". The girl put away the ball somewhere in her cloak.
"Well, your prophecy is very easy to understand this time." Shinichi commented.
"Heh, you should thank me for giving Sherry the solution to let you be human again, Cat Detective." the fortune teller grinned.
"What?" Kaito asked
"Also, your boyfriend their is extremely cheesy, Kudo-kun. Camellia, really?" and she disappeared.
When shopping is done and it's night time Kaito enthusiastically pulled Shinichi to the bed and towered over him. As Kaito was about to touch the detective's body "OI KUDO NEE-CHAN INVITING US TA DINNER!" Heiji rushed in on them.
Their second attempt, Ran came in saying she had to clean the fridge as well as the house and it didn't turn out so well.
The third attempt, Heiji pulled them out to play at an amusement park. For the whole damn day, when they got back, forget sex, sleep was most important.
The fourth time, the girls dragged them out. For the whole day.
For the whole 91 days and 380 attempts, all is interrupted. The fortune teller was right…again.
Now let's explain the notice if you don't know what it said!
Read it backward. Kid spelt all the letters backward.
And the part where it said Janos will guide your time. It means 6:00pm. Janos the god of two face and choices doorway and passages. Put in with time is six o'clock and between it. To make it simple have two face side to side on the clock between it is a straight line. Place that straight line on the clock makes it 6:00 pm.
The flower means:
White rose- innocent and purity
Red rose- declaration of love
Camellia- longing for you
