A/N. A McLennon short. Just something I wrote in class months ago and found it yesterday. I didn't want to post it because it is so freaking short. Maybe I'll add it as a scene of a future fanfiction.
"What are we?" Paul asked.
"What do you mean?"
"What are we, John?" Paul asked again, seriousness in his voice.
"Mmmm," John scratched his chin, trying to look as if he's having deep thoughts. "We're Beatles!" he finally exclaimed.
Paul rolled his eyes, but then laughed a little by seeing John's expression. "I'm serious, answer me, John. I need to know."
"I still don't get what you're trying to say, Macca."
"We're obviously more than friends… So, what are we? Lovers? Boyfriends? Friends with benefits?"
"Don't be ridiculous, Macca," John chuckled, making Paul blush slightly, who was somehow expecting that kind of answer. "Lovers doesn't sound right… Boyfriends is just… nope, not that… And we're definitely not friends with benefits. It sounds as if our relationship works only with lust, and that's not our case." John said, still not answering what Paul wanted.
"Then what are we?" the bassist insisted.
John chuckled and pressed his lips against Paul's, who immediately kissed back. With both of their mouths mere inches apart, the rhythm guitarist mumbled, smiling against Paul's lips: "We're soul-mates."
Satisfied with the answer he received, Paul smiled charmingly, kissing the older lad again.
