Hey guys, what's up here's a one shot about the Lone Wanderer and Sarah three nights after James' death and Project Purity.
Nightmare
"Sarah…Sarah are you awake?"his voice asked barely above a whisper. The blonde had her back to him; she hadn't slept in three days because of his damn nightmares. Sarah sighed "Yeah, I'm awake."
She felt arms go around her waist. The blonde rolled over in his arms to look him in the eyes. He was shaking with fear, it was obvious he had had another nightmare. "Ben it's alright, it was only a nightmare" she whispered trying to convince him. Ben shook his head, he looked so young when he was scared, Sarah noted. "It was so real…..so vivid, Sarah I saw him die again and again and again" the dark brown haired boy now had tears in his eyes. Sarah wrapped her arms around his neck "Shhhh calm down, it's alright" she tried to reassure the boy.
Ben seemed to relax a little but was still shaking profoundly. She leaned in and kissed him. Pulling back she whispered "You want to talk about?" He shook his head "No" he sounded a bit more like the wanderer rather than some scared kid. She said "You sure it might help." Ben looked down "No, I don't want to talk about it, even if it will help." "Why not" she asked, he frowned "I'm not a child, Sarah."
Sarah hugged him closer "I know you're not a child, Ben, but talking about it might help" she offered. "It won't" he muttered, he seemed to have calmed down a little. Sarah sighed, he could be so stubborn, "How do you know" she inquired. He looked her in the eye as he answered "If I shoot you in the chest would you want to talk about it?" his answer shocked her. Sarah frowned "No."
The younger boy rolled over "Now do you see why it won't help?" Sarah sighed again as she hugged his back "Just go back to sleep Ben."
The Next Day
The lone wanderer stood over the raider, the raider looked scared to death. The raider was staring down a legend how was he supposed look. The raider, as a last resort yelled "THIS MUST BE A FUCKING NIGHTMARE…." Silence engulfed the small raider outpost. The Wanderer turned and calmly strode away. Was he a nightmare or a legend? Fuck it if he was going to have nightmares, then all the evils in the wastes will to. And their nightmares would be of the reaper they called the Lone Wanderer.
So what did you think as always review. I might rewrite this later. Anyway the only reason I wrote this was boredom.f
