prologue: The book

Jade the necromancer thats what they all called him along with colonel, and dangerous. No one dare say it to his face but everyone thought him to be a little crazy too, all his talk about bringing the dead back to life, who woouldn't begin to question his sanity? But he knew one day he would prove them wrong and today happened to be that day, there it was everythign he needed to know in front of him. All of it written on a single book a passing merchent happened to be selling. Bound in black leather with the mold of a silver cross branded into it. "Are you buying or not?" The merchent's gruff voice was all that broke his cooncentration he looked up blinking his red eyes.

"Indeed I'll buy it, how much?" He put on that smile he always wore taking into his hand the bag at his side. His hair like melted chocolate swayed in such the simplist movements it was rather mesmorizing to anyone. Openign the pouch he took out a handfull of gold and silver pieces any price he would pay for that book. "Is this enough?"

The merchants eyes widened "Why yes sir" the smile that spread on his face even made Jade cringe. Did he really not know the worth of the artifact he carried? But he happily obliged pressing the gald into the merchant's grubby hands and left the book tucked under his arm. He finally had everything he needed now to find the right place to try it out. His red eyes widened he thought back remembering the dismal barren patch of the village to the north where small headstones had dotted the ground. It was the perfect spot and the perfect night, he smiled widly walking off to the inn now that everythign was concluded he had time to rest and read.
