Limitless Love

"Don't do it, we'll find some other way to save the world! You don't have to carry all the burden by yourself!" Allegretto shouted, extending his hand out to see if it would stop her. But it didn't. She backed away slowly; her back was facing towards the ocean where her fate lied. Her arms extend.

"I must do this! And it's for the person who means the most to me! My life is nothing compared to his! Doing this is easy, if it's for him!" Polka said dramatically as her eyes close. Her feet rose off the ground and Allegretto ran towards the edge to try to catch her. It was useless; she was out of his reach. Allegretto looked down the cliff and could see her falling to her death. Without hesitating, he used his hands to push himself off the cliff.

"POLKA-A-A-A-A-A-A!" he screamed as he extended his hands out as far as possible. If I can go faster, I can reach her, Allegretto thought to himself. He was catching up; he must be picking up speed. Polka was almost out of sight but he could see the white ruffles at the edge of her bright pink dress. He was almost there, just inches away from her. Allegretto's hands reached out to grab hers. When they touch, Polka opened her eyes.

"Allegretto," Polka breathed. Allegretto tried to pull her up into a position where they can both see each other's faces. "You jumped to save me?" Polka shouted over the roar of the wind.

"Yes, now let's go, this is not the way you have to end your life!" Allegretto shouted as he pulled her into an embracing position. His arms were under hers and she didn't hesitate before putting her own around his neck. The wind forced their eyes shut. This is the moment, Allegretto said in his mind. He bended over to her face and before either one could say another word, their lips met.

Did they stop falling? The wind was not as strong and Allegretto could have swore he heard noises that sound like ringing bells. He didn't care; Allegretto never wanted this moment to end. Polka was safe and in his arms. He couldn't wish for anything better.

The little bright lights that surrounded them were glowing brighter than ever and actually pushing them up. Before either of them knew it, they were at the top. The second they touched the ground, the sky turned blue and bright flowers surrounded them. Allegretto and Polka were still in an embrace. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw that Frederic was somehow alive again. What happened when I jumped? Allegretto thought to himself. I don't care; she's safe with me.

Their limitless love could never be broken by any fate.
