There was a boy asleep in his room, drifting off, when suddenly a bird with three heads pecked him. He woke up & said "Dodrio, why are you pecking me? Wait! What time is it, I'm late! He ran downstairs to his mother. "Mom, why didn't you wake me up?" His mother replied. "Dodrio did that for me, Ethan." "Today's the big day, dear."
"I know Mom." said Ethan. "I'm going to Professor Elm's Lab." Ethan goes next door to a tall house when he sees a red haired boy. Ethan walks over to him. "What are you looking at? said the boy. Ethan walks inside regardless. "Hello, Professor Elm." says Ethan. "Today's the Big Day" said Professor Elm. "You can pick between Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile.
Ethan looked at them carefully. "I choose Cyndaquil!" "Hi buddy." "Huh, what?" said the professor. "Ethan, I need help." "I have this acquaintance people call Mr Pokémon." "He called me to say its real this time, probably just another Pokémon Egg." said Professor Elm. "I'll help you, Professor Elm." said Ethan. Ethan runs out of the lab and heads to the nearest city, Cherrygrove City.
Then something runs up to him a hugs his leg. "Hello, Marill." said Ethan. "They you are Marill." The girl looked up. "Hi, Ethan" said the girl. "Hi, Lyra." said Ethan. "I see you got your first Pokémon." "I came to ask you something, Ethan." "Would you like to go on a journey with me?" said Lyra nervously. "Of course I will Lyra." said Ethan.
Ethan & Lyra start walking to Cherrygrove City, with their Pokémon in tow.
