Because You're So Pretty
If Carlos Garcia had messed up before, it was nothing compared to now.
It was a simple interview, just a few questions as to why people
should pay attention to BTR's music and all that jazz, when Carlos
slipped up majourly.
The interviewer (Danica?...Desireé?) smiled at Carlos and asked,
"Whats your favourite thing about being in Big Time Rush?"
"James," He responded without thinking. "Hes just so pretty."
Kendall, Logan, James, and Danireè stared. Carlos clamped a hand over
his mouth and split as fast as he could carry himself.
It wasn't really obvious, but Carlos was bisexual. His longing for
James started back when he was 13, after an accident involving a roof,
a trampoline, and a pool. James had taken care of him after he broke 3
ribs, fractured his shoulder and sprained his foot. He wouldn't admit
it, but James was incredible when it came to taking care of the ones
he loved. When Carlos was 14 and when Marie Thompson broke his heart,
James was there to mend it. When he turned 15, he knew he was in love
with his best friend.
And that scared him.
Carlos was lying on his stomach in his hotel room when a small knock
came at his door.
"Carlitos," James called. "Open up."
"Mffguh," Carlos replied, head buried in his pillow.
"We need to talk," James pleaded. A click was heard and Carlos was
standing in the door.
"Yes?" He raised an eyebrow at James.
"You called me pretty," James said.
"Yeah," Carlos smirked. "Because you are."
"But...you seemed like you meant it," James inquired.
"I did," Carlos giggled. "Is there a problem?"
"Carlos...do you like me?"
Well, James had Carlos stumped now.
"Do you want the truth?" Carlos looked away.
"Please," James begged.
"James, I adore you. You've been the one taking care of me since, I
don't know, forever. It was only natural that I fell in love," Carlos
murmered.
"Love...You love me?" James's eyes sparkled.
"Yes," Carlos whispered. James cut him off from saying anything more
by kissing him.
If there was one thing Carlos loved about that interview in later
years, it was the fact that it brought James and Carlos together.
