I had this idea last night, and it was just so cute, I couldn't resist writing it. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own Maximum Ride.

"I love you, Max."

Max's eyes slid over to Fang as the two eighteen year olds sat side-by-side on Dr. Martinez's couch, watching TV. The lights were out, and everybody else was in bed. "That was random."

"Yeah." He shrugged. "Just felt like saying it."

"You know," she said slowly, something obviously up her sleeve, "You say it a lot."

Fang raised an eyebrow at her. "Is that a problem?"

"No." Max shrugged, looking at the TV again. "It's just repetitive. You're never very specific about it."

"How can you get more specific?"

"Well," she began, leaning back against the arm rest, "you could tell me how much you love me."

"How much." He still sounded confused.

"Yeah. Like, um… do you love me enough to hold me while I cry?"

"I always have."

Max smiled. "Enough to kiss me?"

"Don't I do that every day?"

"Enough to take me out?"

"Every Friday night, Max."

Her smile grew, and she leaned forward eagerly. "Two more."

"Okay. Shoot."

"Enough to be there whenever I need you?"

"Of course," Fang said, rolling his eyes. "What kind of questions are these?"

"One more." Max held up one finger and scooted back over to him, taking his hand, their palms warm against each other. "Are you ready?"

"Yes."

"Do you love me enough," she said, gazing right into his dark eyes, using her free hand to cup his cheek, "to spend the rest of your life with me?"

"Of course," he said, leaning down to kiss her, and then quietly repeated, "What kind of question is that?"

I know Max would probably never do that, but how could I ignore the cuteness of this idea?

I couldn't, that's how. And that's why we have a new oneshot here!
