I'm just going ahead and apologizing for grammar mistakes and any spelling ones, or stiff writing. I've been lurking but this is the first time I've written a FF, so I'm new to this, and I'm rambling. I'll stop now,

Just a short story to get in to it. I don't own Izaya, nor Shizuo, or anything else copyrighted. I would like to know how you liked it!

"III-ZZZAAA-YYYAAA!"

Izaya and Shizuo were fighting again. There was a crowd of people around, and I just knew this would not end well. I had seen something last night. I almost knew it would change the outcome of the fight today. But how?

Shizuo had finally found a girl who wasn't scared of him. They had attended a party I was at. They were adorable together, the danced and laughed and kiss. And that's when I saw him. Izaya.

He was standing in the front of a shop, hidden from most of the people. His eyes were trained on someone, and it didn't take me Long to figure out who. His face was dark, troubled.

He didn't look anywhere else but the blonde boy. I glanced back, and witness the two kiss, smiling. Izaya jolted back, shocked. Then his face fell, and he looked so incredibly sad, I was sad. I looked at the two, then back. But he was gone.

I had run to where I saw him, trying to figure out where the informant was. I only heard him, but it was enough.

"Monster... How should I feel?" He paused, and took in a sharp breath. He sounded vaguely like he was crying.

"Shit... Monster... Why didn't I ask you to love me instead of hating me?"

I finally notice her, in the crowd. Watching her love with worried eyes as the two fought. I felt sorry for her, to see her boyfriend like this. I sighed and looked at the two.

Izaya was laughing heartily as he dodged another one of Shizuo's impromptu weapons. Shizuo was breathing heavily, obviously tired.

"You flea!" He screamed, and Izaya laughed. He was facing the crowd, searching it with his eyes, when his face fell. He had seen her, I knew it. The same look from last night shone for a moment, before the mask was back. His eyes were shiny and cold, though.

His knife in hand, he approached Shizuo. His arm was lifted in defense, obviously not wanting to fight at the moment. When he was in front of Izaya, his smirk slipped. He looked the boy over for a short time before he laid his knife to the blonde boy's neck.

"You know, Shizuo... I'm kinda envious of her." He said softly, his red eyes searching the amber in front of him. Shizuo looked confused, and Izaya just laughed hollowly. "Because.. She gets to do this..."

To the shock of the crowd (and Shizuo) Izaya stood on his toes and met Shizuo's lips gingerly. The red eyes had closed, a faint blush on his cheeks, lighter than the one on Shizuo's face.

While the kiss only lasted seconds, it seemed like an eternity. Izaya's blade was still placed so that Shizuo would be cut if he moved, so when I saw broke the kiss, he only glared at the raven-headed boy. Izaya said something, and Shizuo's murderous glare was dropped, replaced by a surprised look. I wouldn't know that Izaya had told Shizuo that he would of asked to be loved if it wasn't too late until much later, but it stayed on my mind, even as Izaya disappeared.

"You damned Flea! III-ZZZAAAA-YYYYAA!"
