A Simple Flip
She knows that writing nasty, hell degrading comments on that freak Rachel Berry's Myspace videos might seem horribly cruel, but the simple fact is that it has become a way of life, a ritual. Everybody does it, and none of them feel any regret, any guilt over it. So why should she?
She's no better than the rest. Even though she's captain of the Cheerio's, president of the Celicaby Club and popular girlfriend of the football teams quarterback Finn Hudson, she's no better than anyone at McKinley, not even Rachel Berry. Quinn Fabray is just a scared little girl trying to fit in, and she'll do anything to keep her popularity intact. A simple flip of the coin would change her precious life, and she'd be the one with degrading comments on her Myspace page.
She would rather die than see that coin flip.
She had worked too hard for her popularity to ever lose it. Nothing is going to threaten her top dog status, not even the slightest pang of sympathy for Rachel Berry. If this were another world, and she wasn't head cheerleader, Quinn might have found it in herself to be nice to Rachel Berry. Well, probably not nice but she wouldn't post cruel comments on her page.
But this isn't a different world, and who is she to challenge the system of school order?
So she clicks enter and closes her laptop screen, emotionless. There's nothing she can even do but submit to the herd. It would be pointless to even try another option.
