Hello my fellow readers, it's been … a very long time. I would like to say thank you to all those who have continued to read my material despite my ehemm... disappearance. Just a shout out to Sophy! (MISSED YOU!)

*Shakes of the rust* Here I go…

Shut

Had it all been a dream? A nightmare?

It couldn't have been. It should've been.

The sudden thought of Kate's blood splattering onto his face still shook him. It was strange. It was something that he couldn't grasp. In all his time spent in this violent line of work he had never ever once felt guilty, genuinely guilty, that what he does is unjustified.

It's a hard game to play when neither side backs down; if one attacks the other defends. A childish justification, if he really came to think of it. For a moment, that had lasted a few days and possibly weeks, time stopped. Functionality stopped. And maybe it was the simple minds of males with undeveloped frontal lobes that he found himself pulled from Kate to the foreigner that had sauntered into their team.

She was different. Almost flawless, one could not imagine how she was persuaded into the violent life that she leads. But what does he know, the exterior shows only that, the fake. What lay within had always intrigued him. Like Tim with his ingenious mind and Tony with a somewhat non-sensical mind, but really an equally capable mind hidden behind a witty façade. One could say it takes a genius to be stupid.

Though he could see her mouth moving and hear her voice tainted with the richness of her homeland, his mind would not, or rather could not comprehend. What followed had been a blur until she disappeared from his sight. But he knew, deep down in his gut. She was trouble. Somehow.

And there it is, (hehe) I just felt that I had to get something down in words, and I must say I feel so much better after writing this (even though it's an extremely short piece). Hopefully, if I can get my motivation up again I'll start writing again.
