"Ryuuzaki... why're you...?" no, Raito thought to himself. Don't ask. Why had he not learned never to ask? L hopped onto his computer chair as if nothing was wrong, and immediately began typing in that strange, forefinger -only way of his. There was silence, except for the 'tak-tak' of the keys. Everyone was staring at the now beyond eccentric detective as he types, eyes wide and mouths hanging open.
Finally, Matsuda stepped closer to L, regaining himself enough to speak. "Uh, Ryuuzaki... you're wearing...bunny ears..." he managed to say, his eyes drawn to the precariously perched animal appendages, each ear with a bit of lace and a bow on it.
"Yes." L agreed. Matsuda was taken aback for a minute, watching L dig into a crepe as if everything was just fine.
"But...I mean... why?" L turned to him, then each detective in his team.
"I'm trying to understand the mind of the cosplayer." he ignored the questioning glances. "What if, perhaps, Kira was interested in such things? We would need to get into his mind. Cosplaying –" he paused to indicate his rabbit ears. "– is the easiest way to do this. Besides, I have a feeling Kira might like this kind of thing." his eyes wandered, before again resting on his crepe.
"Definitely not!" Raito shouted, offended. L looked at him, stuffing the crepe in his mouth.
"Raito-kun's chance of being Kira has just risen by 0.233 percent." he informed around mouthfuls.
Raito sighed, and he patted L's shoulder, closing his eyes to stave off a headache. "Just... don't wear a dress tomorrow."
