Okay, I don't own Harry Potter. J.K Rowling and Warner Bros do. Also, I feel like this moved a bit quickly, and sorry for that. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
Harry Potter was a lot of things. He was the chosen one, he was a daredevil, an adventurer, and many other things. But he was also a teenager. And he was surrounded by girls at Hogwarts.
At first, Hermione was just a friend. But as he got older, he realized she was pretty. He knew it from the beginning, but he'd never thought about it. It had always been like "Oh, she's pretty." But now it was like, "Bloody hell, she's hot." And Harry didn't know why.
Here he was, sitting in Charms class next to Hermione. Harry was trying so hard not to look at her, because he would blush. But it was so hard. She was so pretty, and all he wanted to do was stare at her. Though Harry knew he couldn't, so he turned his attention back to class.
Hermione was having similar issues. She'd always thought of Harry as the leader of the group. Someone she looked up to; well, a little bit. He wasn't always a good role model. Harry was impulsive, and he relied on Hermione quite a bit for spells.
But as she got older, and started looking at boys romantically, she realized Harry would be a good boyfriend. He was handsome, especially without his glasses. He was loyal, and he was brave. But she knew he would never like her. It was upsetting; knowing that your crush would never like you back in the same way.
Charms class soon ended. It was the last class of the day for some students, including Harry and Hermione. They headed back to the common room, walking side by side.
Hermione noticed that Harry was being a bit distant lately. He'd been acting strange. And Harry thought the same about Hermione.
They couldn't keep their feelings in forever. Harry headed up to the dorms to grab a book from his trunk. Hermione sat on a couch in the common room, starting her homework.
When Harry came back, Hermione looked over at him. She motioned him over. Might as well tell him her feelings now, she thought.
Once Harry had sat down and gotten settled, Hermione started.
"Harry, I uh...I've had a crush on you for a little bit." She waited for his response, chewing her lip nervously. Harry's eyes widened slightly, a light blush forming on his cheeks.
"Well..uh.." Harry bit his lip, not knowing what to say, though he soon figured something out. "Hermione, I've had a crush on you too. But I've been scared to tell you, because I thought you didn't like me back, and that telling you would ruin our friendship." He told the girl. Hermione's eyes widened, and she blinked, blushing as well. "Well..it didn't.." She smiled lightly. Subconsciously, she started to lean forward. Harry did the same, and soon their lips crashed together.
They pulled away, green eyes staring into brown ones. "I love you, Hermione.." Harry said.
"I love you too.." She responded, smiling widely. Unknown to them, a certain ginger had been watching a few feet away, flowers in hand. Ron dropped the flowers, tears forming in his eyes. "I loved you, Hermione..." He whispered to himself.
