"The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships, motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day... I got in"
"Flynn!" he screamed only to find himself reaching out at darkness, his hand lingered in the air still trying to grasp something that was not physically there. "W-what the hell" he thought to himself as he put his arm down, "Where am I?" he muttered as he slowly pushed himself up from the ground only to find a himself under a bright pulsing white light. His eyes widened as the light continued to pulse into the dark sky, "What is.." his thoughts being cut off by a sudden sharp pain on his right arm forcing him to fall to his knees. "Dammit!" he screamed as he grabbed his right arm, "What the hell happened" he mumbled as he fought to get on his feet once more, stumbling but keeping his balance he began to walk away from where he woke up in the hopes of finding an answer to what happened to him.
With each step he took the pain that originated from his arm slowly began to spread around his body, his vision began to dim as the pain became more and more unbearable. "Where am I going" he thought to himself as his legs quivered in pain, as he pushed his body to continue forward his hope was finally lifted as his eyes set upon a city with glimming lights. His body began to tremble as the pain began to take over, "N-no not now" he thought as he collapse with the sight of the city within reach.
"S-so close..."
