Love at First Sight
Luna walked down the corridor. It was lunch, but she felt she needed fresh air instead of food. She got to the courtyard and sat by the lake. For what seemed like forever, she sat there. Alone. A shadow came and sat beside her. It was George. "Hey, Luna. What's up?" "Nothing, just watching the water ripple." Luna replied. George looked at the water. He was sure that the water was still a minute ago. But Luna was right. The water was steadily moving. George shrugged. Must be the Giant Squid. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" Luna asked the flame-headed guy. "What is, Luna?" George asked. Knowing Luna, she could be talking about the Nargles. That's what he loved about her. No one knew his feelings towards her except Fred. He told Fred everything. "The sunset, of course." Luna said as if it was obvious. George was positive that he just left lunch, yet, Luna was right again. The sun was setting in pink, yellow, orange, red, gold and purple. "Wow. Yes it is Luna." George said sounding amased.
Luna and George sat there together talking for a very long time. Before they knew it, the stars were out and shinning. "Well, it must be getting late." Luna said. "I don't want you to leave, though." George muttered shyly. FLASHBACK: "Wow." Said George, looking at the pretty blonde with radish earrings. "Ohhhh! Forge is in love! Forge is in love!" Fred said merrily. George would argue the point, except for the fact that Fred was exactly right. It was love at first sight. End of flashback. "What was that, George?" Luna asked, blushing a shade of pink that resembled cotton candy. "I don't want you to leave, Luna. I love you. I always did. It was love at first sight for me. Do you feel the same way?" George was making Luna blush scarlet now. "Y-yes George. I do." Luna replied. "Will you be my girlfriend, Luna Lovegood?" "Yes, George. Yes I will." Luna was so happy. More happy than she had ever been in her life.
"I love how the leaves are changing." Luna stated dreamily. "Luna, dear the leaves aren't-" But they were. It was spring! How could they? "I mean, yes. The leaves are lovely. How do you do that?" George asked, mystified. "Do what?" Luna replied. "Make things real. Like the ripples on the lake, the beautiful sunset we saw, and the leaves. Luna it's night and the leaves are changing in a snap. Like everything else. Please tell me how." George begged. "Oh, that. Yes, well, you see, it was our sight. Like love at first sight. It is so magnificent that you fall in love. Just like how I love nature and the lake, sunsets, and leaves." Luna explained. "I think I see." George said. "Try." Luna said. "Um…ok." George mumbled. "Look at the stars, I'm going to try to move them to make a shape." George said. Sure enough, the stars arranged to form the shape of a heart. "Very good!"Luna exclaimed. "I'm going to show Fred!" George yelped excitedly. "Wait, George!" Luna yelled after him, George had began running to the castle, but stopped as soon as he heard her voice. "Yes, Luna?" George replied. "Only we can see the changes." She said. "Why?" he asked. "Because, we are the ones who are in love, so we are the ones who may see." She said simply. "I love you, Luna said George, coming to sit by her. "I love you, too." Luna replied.
