He has to admit, Luneth looks really good in the blue and gold armor, highlighting his eyes and defining the growing muscles in his arms and chest. He is still thin, but the traces of baby fat are fading away. He looks more... defined, now. Older. He wonders if he looks any older and sneaks a look in the polished Hero's Shield sitting on the grass. No such luck - he still looks as young as ever. Frowning as his blurry reflection, he pinched his round cheeks and didn't notice Luneth sneaking up behind him.
"Arc, what are you doing?"
"Oof!"
Luneth may have taken off his armor for the night, but he was still pretty heavy with his arms wrapped around Arc's neck. He was blushing all the way down his neck and up to his ears, caught out at seeming so vain.
"N-nothing!"
"Hmmm..."
Arc fidgeted with his hands, looking steadily down at the ground. He knew he was an impossibly bad lier, so he would just have to rely on not saying anything at all.
Of course that was when soft hair brushed against neck and then wet lips pressed against his cheek. He jumped, causing Luneth to laugh and squeeze him a litle harder. He really, really, really hoped that no one else had seen that. Of course they were in the middle of a forest, but really...
"Luneth!"
"Cheer up, Arc. Come on, Ingus has started supper."
The little swirl of happiness that curled in Arc's stomach made up for any unhappiness before as he allowed himself to be lead back to the other side of the fire.
