- Chapter One - Shouldn't Have Left -

-Opacho's P.O.V-

As Opacho walked away from the podium where Hao-sama and Yoh-san where having their battle, she couldn't help but feel upset. Deep down in Opacho's heart she didn't want to leave Hao-sama but he was different, he had changed in the worst of ways. The peaceful air he used to have was over-taken by rage, and it hurt Opacho so much inside to see him like that. He had even yelled at Opacho, which was something he had never done before! He wasn't Opacho's Hao-sama any more.

"AAAHHHHH!" Opacho's ears perked at this scream, it sounded like Hao-sama. Opacho didn't know what to do. Hao-sama was different... But, he was still Opacho's Hao-sama, her father, her best-friend, and he was in pain. Opacho's Hao-sama was in pain!

"Opacho has to help him!" Exclaimed Opacho before running back to where the scream had originated, but Opacho quickly stopped when she saw Yoh-san and his stupid friends cheering and jumping up and down in some ridiculous celebratory dance, it looked stupid. Opacho quickly turned into her over-soul Mama, her fleece blended in with the bushes very well, so much so that they didn't even notice Opacho, or maybe they where to tired to. Opacho had to wait until they had left and she couldn't feel their furyoku, which took till night fall. Once Opacho was sure no one was around, she began looking for her master.

"Hao-sama? Hao-sama?" Opacho whispered trying to find her master. Opacho followed the faint trail of furyoku left in Hao's body which was more than enough to locate him with the awesome powers he bestowed unto Opacho when she was younger.

"Hao-sama? Where are you?" Opacho whispered. Opacho may have been a strong shaman but she couldn't exactly see in the dark.

"Hnn." A voice groaned, Opacho followed the pain-filled groans until she found a body lying limply on the earth, struggling to move.

"Master?" Asked Opacho before nudging him. The body groaned once again and raised his hand. By using Opacho's over-soul Mama, she pulled him up on her back, just managing to carry him.

"It's okay Hao-sama! Opacho will make you all better." Opacho trotted back to the Patch village hospital, it was well past midnight by the time she got there. Once there Opacho was all out of furyoku and had to drag him through the doors to the main desk of the hospital.

"Help! Opacho's master is hurt!" She exclaimed and soon the doctors and nurses swept him up on a gurney and took him into the operating room. They must have not recognised it was Hao-sama, his face and body were bruised beyond belief, deep cuts and slices tattered his torso, it made Opacho want to cry real bad.

Opacho felt like her heart was going to stop. 'Great Spirits, Please don't take Hao-sama away from Opacho. He's all Opacho has now, everyone else is gone.' Opacho thought to herself. She could feel her eyes swell up with tears, but Opacho knew she had to hold them in, she had to be strong not just for her but for Hao-sama.

About two hours or so later, Opacho was finally aloud to see him. The doctors just said he needed rest and that none of his wounds were fatal, which made Opacho feel a little bit better. As Opacho opened the door she saw Hao-sama hooked up to some kind of machine. He was deathly pale, his body bandaged up from head to toe. His right arm was in a cast and he was breathing threw mask. He looked so small and weak. Opacho crawled up onto his bed stared at his bruised face.

"Hao-sama." She said in a weak voice. Opacho couldn't believe a lower class shaman could ever do this to him, could ever hurt him so badly. He hadn't done anything wrong! He just wanted to make the world beautiful again.

Opacho blames Yoh.

Why couldn't he just let himself be absorbed! Now her master was in a great deal of pain, all because Yoh was too stubborn.

It was all Yoh's fault.

It had been almost a week since Hao-sama was put into the hospital, and each day Opacho felt more and more guilty. She cried everyday and prayed every-night for her master to be okay again.

"Opacho should have been there to save you." Tears continued to fall from Opacho's eyes. "It should have been Opacho!" Opacho cried, holding on to the bed sheets that covered Hao's now fragile body.

"Ugh." Opacho looked up at her master, seeing his eyes opening. He squinted his eyes at the light and began to look around in confusion until his eyes focused on Opacho.

"Hao-sama? Are you okay?" Asked Opacho, she felt so happy that her master was actually alright! Opacho knew deep down Hao-sama couldn't be kept down permanently. His eyebrows furrowed as if he didn't know who Opacho was but that was ridiculous, or so Opacho thought.

"Hao-sama? Why are you looking at Opacho so strangely?"

"W-Who are you?" He managed, his voice sounded so small and muffled behind the face mask. Opacho's eyes widened in shock. 'Surely Hao-sama couldn't forget his most loyal follower, his closest friend and most importantly his adopted daughter' Opacho thought before saying;

"H-Hao-sama! Don't you remember Opacho, I'm your Opacho, your best-friend, your daughter." Opacho couldn't believe what was happening.

"My daughter?" He asked in a confused voice. Opacho weakly smiled before nodding her head.

"Well if your my daughter could you tell me something..." Opacho's ears perked slightly upon hearing this. What on this god given earth could the great Hao Asakura want to know?

"Of course! Opacho tell you anything you ask her." Opacho smiled whilst holding his hand.

"Who am I?"

- End Of Chapter One -

YGG: Yay finished the First Chapter :D. BTW I made it 3rd person, even though it's from Opacho's point of view is because Opacho does talk in the 3rd person and it just made more sense to do it as though she was actually telling it the way she would.
