After a long day of rehearsals for the finals, the Bellas walked tiredly out of the theatre building into light drizzle, the broken clouds illuminated by a full moon lying behind them.

"That was great today girls" Audrey called, beaming at them all, her bright red raincoat fitted perfectly to her figure and Beca gazed at her in awe for a moment, before turning to face Chloe, her red-headed angel, smiling passionately back at her, the rest of the group separating and fleeing to their dorms, out of the slippery courtyard.

Beca bit her lip and they walked off in the direction of their shared flat together. An intense silence buzzed between them both as they glanced at one another in turn, their fingers entwined, the combined heat of both their hands enough to battle the chill of the increasing rain.

A crack of forked lightning across the sky broke the dense silence as they shrieked and grabbed each other. Chloe broke first, her laughter starting quietly and getting louder as they realized they were alone in the courtyard. Just them: together.

Beca joined in, holding her lover's shoulders and raising her face to the rain as another bolt of lightning shot across the sky, embracing the courtyard in a burst of light before the gentle glow of the moon returned.

Chloe took Beca's hand again, causing Beca to open her eyes once more and sigh with happiness.

"Come on Beckz" Chloe said softly, gently tugging at her hand.

"Wait" Beca said, closing her eyes once more, reaching her head upwards as if trying to taste the sky. "Just wait"

"We're in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain?" Chloe questioned, a look of bemusement settling upon her own rain-soaked face.

Beca didn't reply, just held Chloe's hand a little tighter and turned slowly to face her, her eyes sparkling in the glowing light.

"Okay" Chloe almost whispered and also titled her face to the rain before bringing it back down to face Beca's.

There were less than three inches between the two lover's mouths, and slowly Beca bridged that gap with hers, their lips clashing in a messy tangle of raindrops and lip gloss, freshly applied throughout rehearsals.

Chloe ran her hand through Beca's silky hair, now drenched from the torrent downpour slamming down on the courtyard as their mouths begged for more, the heat escaping them contrasting against the now chilly air.

They broke apart. "Je cherchais pour votre amour" Chloe uttered, stroking Beca's face lightly. "I love ya, you nerd" Beca replied, slipping her hand around Chloe's waist, and slowly guiding her back to their flat.
