Martin is an odd little boy. He is reserved, and quiet, and pale, and a little on the thin side…he doesn't eat much. Girls don't talk to him very often. So, when Rei approached him for the first time, naturally, he wasn't really sure how to react.
Rei is odd too; she's loud and pushy and used to getting her way…not very ladylike at all. She drags poor Martin everywhere she goes, and he obeys her every order. She has him carry her things and makes him test-taste the lunches she makes for her precious Juudai-sama. Most of the other girls whisper mean things about her behind her back, calling her thickheaded and stubborn, boy-crazy and an Osiris dropout.
But Martin doesn't mind those things. Rei is strong-minded (not thickheaded), determined (not stubborn), and she is, of course, very pretty.
But most importantly, she is Martin's only friend.
